I have my old 454 that I pulled from my 67 Camaro. It's a low miles '74 truck motor that still has the standard bore. (lower end has never been apart) I think I can do a re-ring/and bearings,... and have the heads checked out for not too much money. It has an old 268 Comp Cam that should be fine in this truck. I really wanted to do a small block,... but I can't find one that doesn't need a rebuild. So I'll use what I have.

ummmm, um! me looooooves that truck!!
great work Keith. the stance now is as close to perfect as you can get. what are you bringing over for Goodguys? If your trailering either the K5 or this truck, you can leave your tow vehicle here at the house. I'll be there this year with my beater.

Re: Project: NO-LIFE,...
Ive got a 69 swb and thinking of doing the same wheel combo, but right now with the 20in wheels that are on it,the front wheels are are closer to the fender edges then the rears.Going with the 15-7 and 15 by-10's help with that?Is the backspace any different on the rallys? Thanks jason

The problem with these trucks is that the "track width" on all the 60-87 trucks is wider on the front. The 71-87 trucks aren't as noticeable as the 60-70 trucks that have been "converted" to disc brakes. Like Nate said,... the combination of the narrower rearend, and the wider front track width (from adding disc brakes) makes it really apparent. I try to hide this by running narrower wheels up front and wider in the back. On a low buck project like my '69 I use different size ralleys. If your budget can afford billet wheels,... use different sizes or backspacing.

Re: Project: NO-LIFE,...
Jason the BS will be different on each set of rims. Depending on what you have done to the '69, if it has disc brakes up front with the stock rearend, then the front will have a wider track width as the '69 has a narrower rearend than the '71-72's. Also, if you are running a 6-lug setup, you will want to begin searching as they were limited in production.
