Here is my little '68 parts chaser. It's sitting a little high in the front because I just pulled the original 307 engine and 3 speed trans out of it. Going back with a 350 Vette engine and 5 speed manual from a late model truck. Should be a fun ride when I'm done. I love these old trucks!

The real joke will be when I have to let your wife paint my plates.
She has obvious talent, my mom is not real happy with the way the front plate is turning out. She has not given up but she knows how picky I am when it comes to the details. We may have to work a deal out I haven't seen it in person yet but she sent me a pic. What do you think?

Actually, it looks pretty darn good, the yellow shade just looks a tad off.

Thanks Shawn. Mine has plenty of rot, in the floor boards, in the roof, in the bed, every where but the front clip. That's why it is staying a patina'd old shop truck for now. I still love it though.

Thank you Rene. I saw it yesterday with only the A painted and it looks a little darker in person, that's why I told her to go ahead and finish it. The paint was dupli-color chrome yellow. For the price, $11 for paint and $0 labor, I really can't complain.

That's ok Jon. Patina is in baby!!!! My truck was originally red and was painted white back in the 80s. Some of the white is coming off I wish it looked more like patina. I love the patina look!!

My latest project... 1967. The p.o. shaved the hood letters, I plan on 'un-shaving' them.
