Re: Brand Loyalty

Out of all the cars and trucks I have had over the years I liked my chevys the best.
first car 84 buick lasabre, second car 75 280z.
first truck chevy 67 c10, second truck chevy 91 r3500 crewcab diesel, second truck chevy 96 k3500 crewcab diesel, third chevy 67 c10
first suv Ford 83 bronco, second suv 88 Jeep grand. wagoneer.
I love 67-72 chevy trucks, and 6.2/6.5 diesel crewcabs.
Someday I might combine the two.

Same here, every brand has made some awesome cars and trucks, and every brand has had their total stinkers. I like to keep it American made but anymore that's almost a misnomer, "american" cars are being made overseas as much as over here, and "foreign" cars have plants all over America now, so a true "american made" car doesn't seem to exist anymore.

Re: Brand Loyalty

My first car was a 71 Hornet 2dr and then to a
73 VW SuperBeetle, then a
Datsun B710 wagon, a
75 Malibu 2dr,
77 F250 4x4,
70 Pontiac LeManns Stw (this was an awesome car...I would still have it today if I didn't run it off a mountain road in Idaho back in 95), then a
Subaru 4x4 wagon, a
Plymouth XXsomething Wagon (stupid car to say the least...not even worth trying to find out what model it was cause I forgot and don't want to waste the energy...oh a Valarie...see waisted energy),
Plymounth Mini Van, (ok but guttless)
83 Ford T-Bird (another stupid car),
Dodge Colt (It was supposed to be a 4x4 but was a lousy one and a totally disposable one at that)

My current vehicles are
93 Chevy Astro VAn EXT AWD (Great vehicle and worth keeping on the road) 97 Pontiac Transport Mini Van (Fun to drive...180 hp...lousy trannies though)

Of all these cars and trucks, the one that I have kept on the road the longest is my 68 Chevy C20. I have been driving it since 1995. It only cost initially $400. I just can't seem to part with it or even ponder. Probable never will.

Re: Brand Loyalty

No imports on my property.

I drive a 2000 Buick Regal GS as my daily beater, have the '72 C20 for occasional truck duty and then a '70 Dodge Challenger for fun. Too much pride and care about US jobs and economy to buy Japanese.

Re: Brand Loyalty

Okay mine
daily driver 89 toyota cressida(its a 4dr straight 6 supra)
95 nissanpu 4cyl dd bought new and put me through college,no major problems 188k.
68c10. awaiting frontend, 5lug conversion. I used to pass this truck when drive back and forth to school in KC wishing I had it. When I graduated it came up for sale and just so happened to have some cash.
77 3/4 GMC, 50K original truck for $500. Need I say more.
65 chevy chevlle, needs resto
69 Camaro. 60% restored. money pit.
I also have 2 more running 67's and 3 or more parts trucks.

From personal experience it's much easier to sell older chevy trucks for more $$ than the other 2 major labels. As far as imports I liked my 95 nissan more than a ranger or s10 and I think it's a better built truck.
