Thanks. They are American Racing VN215 Torq Thrust wheels. 20x10 rear with 275/40/20 tires and 20x8 front by 245/40/20 fronts. Hope that helps!!

I really like those wheels too...I just found a set on Craigslist. Trying to decide if I want to pick them up them or not. So many decisions.

Are those new wheels going to fit within the fenders? It looks like the Camaro wheels had a lot more backspacing and they were very close.

Hey, Moe. The new wheels actually sit more inboard of the Camaro wheels. The adapters I had for the Camaro wheels were too thick.

Nothing too exciting but I did get some work done on the driver side cab corner, floor and rocker.

Re: Father/Son/Friend 63 C10 Build

Disaster and recovery......somewhat.

Well, we had a pretty big set back on the cab. Long story short, I was working on a Lincoln Navigator for my Dad when it rolled into the cab of the truck and destroyed the back panel and pushed the firewall into a large hydraulic press. Only damage to the Lincoln was driver headlight needed replaced.

Luckily, we found another 63 cab on Facebook and picked it up the next day. We were able to use the rear cab panel as well as part of the inner window panel. Finally got it all welded and mostly metal finished. We were able to pull out and re-shape the firewall to a decent condition. Still needs a bit more metal work before primer and body work. All in all, this wasn't as bad as it could've been but I about puked when I saw the damage to the cab.

oh damn, so sorry.
If it helps, the repair looks great, just like the rest of the build. I always say "Life happens and God has his will, so his will be done as he always has a reason for everything". So, I just pick myself up from whatever happens and move forward! You guys are doing great!

Nice job! I remember when mine was at that stage. Keep going and one day you will be done! You also have the best color they made! Hopefully you will keep it that color.

Thanks for the encouragement, fellas. We are keeping the original color.

Re: Father/Son/Friend 63 C10 Build

Monthly update time. Got the cab up on it's backside to finish some welding and noticed some filler on the p/s rocker. After a little investigating we decided to cut out the outer rocker. Found almost 1/2" of filler after cutting the original out so glad we decided to replace the rocker. A quick patch to the inner rocker and stripping it down for primer then the outer rocker is ready to for welding.

Re: Father/Son/Friend 63 C10 Build

Short update.

Got the underside of the cab stripped, primed and laid down some Raptor bedliner. First time using the Raptor and it was pretty simple but a bit messy.

Re: Father/Son/Friend 63 C10 Build

Back from the dead.

Well, the 5.3 LS I built for the truck ended up in my friend's 64 Galaxie so we ordered a long block from Summit Racing. Got it all dressed up and added Ace's EFI Jackpot system. Dropped the motor and trans back in and now doing final mock up before taking the cab off one last time for some body work.

Re: Father/Son/Friend 63 C10 Build

Got most of the front panels bolted on and doing final mock-up of the cab before removing it for paint/body. Hope to test fit the bed this coming week as well.
