Re: 66 step pro street build
Some recent progress, got my Boyd's gas tank, and got the coil overs welded up.
Bare frame is sitting 13 inch's from the floor !!! Still have to work out the pan hard bar. Will this work for the track bar? ,may put a little bend in it and fab a bracket on the frame for the other end.The pics are not very good, maybe you can see what I'm trying to do.Open to ideas also .!!!

Re: 66 step pro street build
I see what you are asking for your panhard bar, I suppose you could shorten it, and mount it between your shocks, next to the d-side one. Since you welded that shock support to your frame, I dont see what that would not work as long as it did not bind with the up down action of the rear end it should still stablize the side to side movement.

Re: 66 step pro street build
Been busy with Turkey season here in AL.,got three birds, working on the truck some.Welded in filler plates for the door handles and finished them, front and rear fenders in primer and ready to paint, along with several other body panels.Finished the frame and been in a four month long fight with Centerline wheels.!!! Order a set of 15 x 12 convo pro with a 6 1/2" backspacing, which is a catalog item. They have sent me two set's with 5 1/2" back spacing ,which is NOT a catalog item.!!! Had to argue with there customer service(if you can call it that) I had the right part number that is on THEIR web site, and they built them wrong twice.!!!Still making me wait three more weeks to maybe get the right back spacing next week.!!!!WOW .Really wanted the convo's but I have had my fill of Centerline.!! Also got the cab stripped and ready to be media blasted this week, cab was super clean for 43 years old.!!!Lucky man
One of my birds this year, he was a good one.!!!! Doors with the filler plate and finished. Cab

Lookin' good! Glad to see you've made some progress. Sucks to hear about the Centerline deal, & I hope you get the correct wheels soon.

Re: 66 step pro street build
I don't think that the panhard bar will work very good the way that you posted pics.
the best scenario is to have the bar as long as possible, and as level at ride-height to not to get tail wag during suspension travel.... |
