These were in the Heritage Museum in Michigan when we were there for the 100th anniversary of Chevrolet.

This appears like a perfect, totally correct restoration. Jon, I assume since you are posting the picture, the owners are not members here on the board. Makes me wonder how many dedicated 60-66 enthusiasts/restorers/collectors exist out there that either don't care, are too busy to bother, or never heard about this forum.

Re: Post Your Factory Correct Restored Trucks! (No Customs!)

Bryon and I sent these off to SMS to have made for our trucks. We had a nice pattern.
They came out exact.

Bryon and Lydia are VCCA members . Bryon has A 1916 baby grand and a 1929 Chevy truck both totally stock. They found Mr Cobb while visiting relatives in Mississippi . No I don't believe they belong to this forum

Heres some close ups of the seat and pattern they put into the material, made the same time as the seat in Mr Cobb, I had something sitting on the seat and its cold out there so it left a circle pattern. Oh, and the seat is temporarily sitting in my 1963 GMC in case you notice the doors.

I agree, they did an awesome job! Makes you wonder why the builders didn't go the extra mile to do the museum truck & Burb the same way. Maybe that wasn't the plan, I dunno. Still great looking rides regardless, & the GMC Carryall/Burb is sweet as well.

Yeah, they were very nice but they missed a few things and in my opinion easy things. Those trucks are on loan to the Heritage Museum.

Great thread! Question - Where does the jack instructions decal go on a Chevy 60-63 4x4? Not sure I've actually seen a pic of one in a truck.

It goes in the same place as a 2 wheel drive truck, right next to the jack. The assembly manual will show the location. I have a picture of a 1961 4X4 where they scratched off the instruction sheet, if you look close you can see the lines in the floor and make out the outline of were it was.

These are some beautiful trucks but it does make me curious on one thing. Why is no one spraying on undercoating under the front fenders and such?

Re: Post Your Factory Correct Restored Trucks! (No Customs!)

one forum member used the rust o leum bedliner spray for undercoat, and im using it on my build in the correct places. the oem stuff i think is way to heavy but if you want "correct" lay the thick tar like stuff
