Re: "DOORED" my truck this weekend
The firewall will be done this weekend... need to get some more $$ for tires now, I am getting the underdash brake setup first, and it's expensive!

Re: "DOORED" my truck this weekend
Here is a question. It may be stupid, but I am going to ask it anyway, haha. I am not sure how similar out trucks are but my bumper is level with the bottom of my rocker panel. Right now, I have 3" spindles and a 4.5" Z on my frame sitting in my garage and the bumper is 1/2" off the ground and the rocker will sit flat. If I wanted to cut the rockers off (red area) so that the doors layed on the ground, then what do I do about the bumper area (circled with ?)? Would I have to cut say 3.5" (height of the rocker) off the bottom of the bumper? Did you run into this?

Re: "DOORED" my truck this weekend
Heres some new pics FINALLY!
Like the crossmember and upper control arm rework ? I cant run 15" rims with my new lowers either they touch the rim with spindles. I still have to drill the hole for the column, and wait for the underdash brakes to get here. |

Please don't chop the top. It looks good as it is.

Re: "DOORED" my truck this weekend
Thats a NO on the control arms... they are one-offs I am however selling the BYC LCA'S for $100 you would just need to make a center Shaft, get bushings and balljoints.

Is that motor going to fit under the stock hood?

Re: "DOORED" my truck this weekend
With the way it was the carb held the hood up alone... If I can manage ground clearance I will lower the motor some. thanks guys!

Now would be the time to put in the rack if your still thinking about it.
I just re-did my to eliminate the possibility of bump steer. |
