Man I love the 09's. I recently sold my CRF 250R to get my CRF450. I like my 450 but it's too much bike for me. I like to race and I feel like i'm riding "too much" on the edge when I am on that thing. So I picked this up for new for $4500 OTD sweet deal!
Going to the track today to break-it-in.

Re: Roadster Project

Working on the door post today. I had to re build it after the suicide doors. So I just had enough time to mock it up and will finish it later. Still gotta trim the outer sheet metal.
Before I close it up I will sand blast and epoxy the inside of the door post. Oh yea, wife bought me a bad a$$ helmet.

Black with yellow and orange flames. Flames will be at the upper body line, real streamline front to back.

Re: Roadster Project

Here is a few other pics. One is the inner door and the door post re-done. One is the inner strike, and the door shut and latched. The last ones are the windsheild and cowl that was requested.

Re: Roadster Project

Okay, finally got some time to make a little progress. I had to completely re-do my door posts because I made them a little too square and they need an angle so the door clears at the rear. Anyway, I finally cut-in the door latches and strikes. This was a total pain in the butt because of how the door is shaped. But actually, the placment of the latch is kinda cool because it sits even with the edge of the inner door. The strike was easier.
I found these door latch releases. Here
