Re: Finally!!!

Since you're probably wondering if you're ever going to get a chance to drive your truck again, or wondering if you'll be happy with the results...we'll three months ago my truck was very similar to yours, now I'm almost finished, just the three R's. Rims, rubber and radio (actually stereo but radio works better)

I know all to well about that.
The Body work that was "to be finished in 3-4 Weeks", ended up being 3 months and $1500.00 extra.
This Interior paint was "supposed to be" 2 Weeks, and it's going on 6.

The Sill/Carpet plate will go over it.
After 2 years of waiting, I had to prioritize.
It was already in the shop and stripped, when they found it.
My budget was that tight, so I told them to just "stop it in it's tracks".
I knoiw that others here would not have done it the way I did,
but that's what makes the world go round.
I am a happy camper!
O i woulda done the same thing, theres always going to be a little rust on the truck you cant stop it and its barely noticable and not like its on the drip rail above the window or something. Better to be able to drive it this summer than wait for longer and miss out on driving it right.

Have no idea.
I'm not a Body Man.
All I know is thatr he had a "Wheel" and was puting some kind of compound/paste on.
Maybe MY verbiage of "Buffing" was wrong.

When my Body Guys did the Exterior Body Work, (another shop up in Nor Cal), they said 4 weeks, which turned in to 2 1/2 Months and $1500.00 MORE.
That was OK though because it was from November through January in the dead of Winter and I couldn't drive it anyway.

THIS Interior Paint was quoted at 2 weeks.
I took it in January 10th (you do the Math)
But thats OK. These guys doing the work are true professionals with "attention to detail".
It has now been just about 7 weeks.
I can't tell you how PLEASED I am with the work that has been done.
Hopefully it will be done next week!
