Wow, thanks! More like a slow motion train wreck...

So coming up to present day, we have some good progress. Being I don't get much time to work on the truck, I'm having my sons get their hands dirty. And have they been busy!

First things first - can't stand a dirty project

So after a bunch of scrubbing and some wire wheel action it looks much better. Got a 3.08 rear end with the appropriate length axles into which we will drop my 3-series posi, but for now...

Re: Devastation and Reform - abused, beaten, and botched yet unrefined 67 SWB

I made the decision to move the engine forward again even though the M20 is the same length as the (late, RIP) TH350. This made the clutch linkage a straightforward affair and probably not require a dogleg shifter modification ala' 55 Chevy bench seat shifter.

The line on the floor marks where the front of the bench seat is. The seat just overhangs the opening by an inch or two. Think we're gonna be okay. I bought another shift handle that we will graft on regardless, may end up with somewhat of a dogleg yet...

Thank you!
Well, the boys have been hard at it. I am very pleased. But they are animals!
I suggested it would be easier if they moved some stuff out of their way and they stripped the truck

If they are doing this realtime, they're hauling azz before it's 900 degrees out! Looks good, see if you can get 'em to strip and repaint the firewall and inner fenders while they're at it!

Wow! They're killing it and it's looking great! I wasn't aware that the bad-boy clutch fork would work in that bell. That's great news for me! What engine stands (motor mounts) are you using? I see the chain is gone Is that the same trans x-member you had under the late three fifty?

Yeah, boys are doing it all, well, since the bed came off that is. I stabbed
the new mill in (and killed that trans ) and they started working
on this 3-4 weeks ago.

I am 11.5 hours ahead but I work night shift (7pm- 7am, 7x/week) and usually
have internet access. So I Skype a lot and they do everything, getting video
from their cell phones when they call is an amazing help.

After the passing of our trans (heretofore lovingly referred to as TH) last November, we had a time of mourning.

The boys have been working on this for the last 3-4 weeks, they pulled the bed, rear end, interior, front end, trans, lifted the cab, painted, on and on.... holy cow! They are kicking it!

I dunno what to think about the firewall yet. Plan to do some smoothing/filling and get the Vintage Air set up but that can wait a bit - still a little gun-shy about other people near my truck with a welder.

Oh, and I don't have any inner fenders yet, they must have run off with the front bumper brackets

Works like a charm! Man that thing is a monster, bet you could use it as an anvil

Just using the standard small block stands and TH (pause for a moment of silence...) trans x-member. Trans uses same mount and I have a new poly mount that is currently MIA but will be used when we see whether or not we will use this: sorry Shawn, take a deep breath
