Looking safer on the east coast now. Us west / central Florida folks are about to get our asses kicked.

Yep..looks that way. I may not need the covered windows after all. Let's see if it moves even farther west.

Re: Getting ready for Hurricane Irma (Going to ride it out)
We took off Thursday night drove to the beach house in Garden City. Got up yesterday and loaded ours and a good friends carts on the 18' trailer. Got all the pictures and our mermaid light out of the trailer. A few clothes and cleaned out the fridge just in case.
Left last night about 9pm and drove 300 miles in 4:10 minutes.

Re: Getting ready for Hurricane Irma (Going to ride it out)
I would probably stay too....after two break in attempts I am super scared of thieves (and looters).
Good luck. Heard Irma is headed west so you guys on the east coast may have an easier time. If I had the money, this is what I'd build. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jxsSBHTFk3w |

Re: Getting ready for Hurricane Irma (Going to ride it out)
I believe if you are in your house, there is no justification needed!
Especially in Florida. Not so much in NY... Bill

Re: Getting ready for Hurricane Irma (Going to ride it out)
I would just plug in some electrical cords and scatter the open ends around, but set them high up on a chair......
2 ft is the max limit height for an average looters comfort zone... so this statistically works out well. It is the perfect 'trip hazard' across the room.....make sure its not a GFCI . .....just saying, lol Coley
