Re: Mark's 66 Burb Build
Well, I couldn't take it anymore so I sat the seats in the Burb. Wow am I happy with the red. Note:the passenger seat that flips forward to let you in the back seat is not installed. There is a lot of real estate on those big bench seats so 7 should fit comfortable. There is room for a rear seat but I will not worry about that for now.
We are definitely taking the truck to the paint shop tomorrow. My last picture shows our shop supplies for the color......silver bottom, black top, hardener, clear coat, flattener..ect. Damn, $1200 in that picture. This doesnt include primers or the paint supplies to paint the interior. I am guessing I will have $2200 - $2500 in paint supplies My next pictures should be the truck with some color on it. |

Re: Mark's 66 Burb Build
Just took this picture tonight. The Burb has been sitting in a paint booth for over 2 weeks and I have been very excited to see some paint on it. We paint the bumpers and door handles in the next few days and then bring her home. I will get some outside pics this week. satin black on top and the silver in somewhere between satin and gloss.

Re: Mark's 66 Burb Build
My fellow dudes...........thank you for the thumbs up. Here is a better shot. I am really happy about this color and excited to get this burb together!! The black and the silver has the perfect amount of sheen and is exactly what i wanted. Spraying the flat clear and mixing it with gloss clear can be tricky and luck was with us.
Bumpers and door handles get painted silver. We thought about black bumpers but our first guess is silver so we will try it. What do you guys think about a red stripe where the black meets the silver?? I was thinking 1/4 inch??? |

Re: Mark's 66 Burb Build
I think that you should definitely go for the red stripe where the black meets grey....And a red stripe on the wheel lip also....Looooks killer so far!
Awesome work!
