Re: "Road Toad" 70 SWB S/Side
So the truck is for your daughter, very nice. I am not a blue fan but that is a good choice, nice build, I especially like that you left it a 6 cylinder. I am building my twin girls a 64 Fairlane 500 Sport coupe starting in the spring, hope to have them chip in a bit too.

Re: "Road Toad" 70 SWB S/Side
Naw not squashed!
Started working on it again this weekend. Was going to move it to the new shop, but decided to finish it in the old one cause there is too much to move. Hung the lights and bumper on the bed, and radiator support on the front. Big 4x4 stuff/sale/trade/ give away. If you live near Houston let me know, customal@flash.net. I will be posting on the forum soon.

It's things like this that really add to any project. This wip is really special, I like that you are going with the six. The bed is a great work of art. This rig will be the living envy of any civilized neighbourhood

Re: "Road Toad" 70 SWB S/Side
I hate to say it but I am putting it up for sale.
I will move it and the 67 to the "for sale" section.

Re: "Road Toad" 70 SWB S/Side
Bummer! Why are you deciding to sell them, not a divorce I hope? Sell the C5 instead and keep these two!

Re: "Road Toad" 70 SWB S/Side
Are the short fleetside bed or stepside fenders still for sale?

Re: "Road Toad" 70 SWB S/Side
Road Toad lives.
This weekend after sitting seven years in the shop, Road Toad was rolled out and washed down top to bottom. Took awhile, but we have decided to finish it. Original plans were for my daughter to get it her senior year of high school. Now we are shooting for her Masters graduation......6 months. Pictures to follow. |
