I can't wait to see the motor back in it.
And see the thing make a poncho motivated run... That truck is a bad boy!

Re: Intro and Some Photos of my '63 Project
Thanks! Me neither. In the meantime, in case I forgot to post it, I did finish my deluxe steering wheel modification. It was an unintended diameter reduction, as I was planning on restoring the old original deluxe wheel, but it was too much of a basket case as I got into it. So, I cut out the hub and welded it to a '61 Pontiac steering wheel I had reduced a long time ago for a Ventura project that never materialized.
...size difference after welding the hub to the outer ring... ...lots of epoxy - previous sectioned area on the bottom wheel that I epoxied 10 years ago started to crack: ...about 45 hours of sanding and shaping with another application of epoxy in between: ...painted then assembled:

Re: Intro and Some Photos of my '63 Project
Thanks! Ended up having to completely strip the top of the hood, which set us back a bit. But, a color test was shot on the underside today. Color and hue are good to go…

Re: Intro and Some Photos of my '63 Project
Going with a darker tone of the late GM Woodland Green. Kind of a modern homage to the original early Woodland Green.

Re: Intro and Some Photos of my '63 Project
Thanks, guys! You can tell from the photo in post 56 of the work on the driver side door that underneath the white, the previous owner painted the truck (along with the orange scallops), the truck (code 535) was originally Woodland Green with the Cameo White two tone. I'm going to use a shade of the Hyundai Powder White as the second color to better match the flake in the newer GM Woodland Green.

Working on a couple projects at the same time, so I've been a little laxed on posting progress photos. Small parts were shot. The bed is next.

Re: Intro and Some Photos of my '63 Project
I know how it is to be spread thin across several projects...
But the quality certainly has suffered because of it.. That's apparent by the photos... really looks great.. I can't wait to see it done..

Re: Intro and Some Photos of my '63 Project
What a beautiful truck!! I'm running into a hell of a problem with mounting my '66 389 in my 64 c10 the issue is mostly with the exhaust. I was thinking about hacking up my headers, but the other issue is that I have to bolt the engine mounts to the cross member and mock up seems to be really high and looks to need some of the cab cut out. Please help!

Re: Intro and Some Photos of my '63 Project
Are you using one of the GM conversion motor mounts? Also, what about the headers is the issue?
