Very nice. I like Deuce's "2-hole" idea.

Re: For Sale: Billet Aluminum Dash Panels
Well I have redesigned the dash for the 2 5" autometer gauges plus five 2 1/16" gauges and have designed the glove box door. So then I went and got a quote for the material needed to make some. With the prices I got with material and the machine time of the dash I will have to charge $275.00 each for the dash. I know I originally was charging $150 for the couple I had but I made those with scrap material. But right now I think I have 13 orders that I have counted on the list. I can start making these dashes next week but I would like a confirmation from those people.
As far as the glove box door, have that all designed and laid out for machining. With the material cost and machining time, I will be able to sell it for $175.00. To make this the easy for all of us, could you all please place your orders by emailing me at ryan.hubbard@aspencontrols.com. I can take Visa, MC and Amex and I have a paypal account. I will not charge until the units are ready to ship and I will notify when they are ready to ship and forward the tracking number to you. I have posted some more pics of the dash with the new holes for the 2 main gauges and the back of the glove box door. For custom panels with different hole patterns, please contact me through my email and I will try to work with you. Thanks for all the support and compliments for my work. Re: For Sale: Billet Aluminum Dash Panels
Email sent, I need to drop down to one set, dash and glovebox as the price increase makes it a bit more expensive then the set I already have. If it works better than the Javier set up, I'll buy two more.

Re: For Sale: Billet Aluminum Dash Panels
Those are the best looking dashes I've seen so far. I'd like to have a set myself but it'd be quite awhile before I could come up with the $.
With the 5" and 2-1/16" setup it looks like there wouldn't be room for the lower gauges to be 2-5/8"? I have stock speedo/fuel gauges and 2-5/8" Autometer in mine now. I'd like to stay with the 2-5/8" size.

Just to give an update, the parts are being made right now. We are halfway done with the run of glove box doors and are will start the dash boards next. Hopefully will be done by next week. Just thought I would give the update.

Re: For Sale: Billet Aluminum Dash Panels
Hart-Rod,
I did get your message about putting logo's on the glovebox door but I cannot do it right now. First, I have to research if CHevy still has the rights to some of the logos and the time it takes to do a logo on the glove box is too long and would add to the price. On the dash panel, the raised letters take half of the machining time of the whole piece. We have to use an endmill that is only 1/32" in diameter and you cannot use high feedrates or high rpms on these little endmills. I would love to do all the little add ons people want or different configurations but each change take at least 1 hour of programming to change and I charge $120.00 per hour for programming. So instantly you have to add $120.00 to the price for making just one change. Sorry for bad news. Regards, Ryan Hubbard |

Re: For Sale: Billet Aluminum Dash Panels
Here is some pics of the Glovebox Door right after it comes off the mill. Still needs some deburring and sanding to remove the machining marks.

Re: For Sale: Billet Aluminum Dash Panels
For all those interested the Gauge Panels and Glove Box Doors are finished. I am contacting those that showed interest directly. If anyone else is interested in purchasing either item you can contact me directly at ryan.hubbard@aspencontrols.com or 562-537-1348. Again the cost is $275.00 for the gauge panel and $175.00 for the glove box door. I can take m/c, visa and Amex or paypal. The price includes UPS ground shipping to the continental US. Thanks for the support.

Re: For Sale: Billet Aluminum Dash Panels
For those who were unable to buy on this first run. I will be setting up a website to sell these items plus a couple other items like a billet aluminum firewall cover for those using a Vintage Air unit in their trucks. I will post the website address as soon it is up and running.
