Right but with a smaller chamber head you can make up some of the CR.

But what would you do?

So... words of wisdom anyone?
Do you have anything in writing from the seller saying the engine was a 350? Do you have any witnesses to the conversation you allegedly had with the seller where the guy claimed it was a 350 and was built by a NASCAR mechanic? If you do, then take it to small claims court and try to get a settlement. If not, then you got what you deserve. Sorry if that sounds harsh, but it's the truth. Don't be mad at him for duping you... be mad at yourself for falling for it. There are shyster's everywhere. Learn not to be a victim of them. Don't take anybody's word on anything unless you can verify it yourself.

My ZZ4 was brand new with a rear main seal. I didn't think they made ZZ3's still

Re: Just found out my 350 is a 305 :( What would you do?

It might not be a mountain climber and it might not be a stroker motor--I know I happen to have a stroker motored truck and a GM replacement motored truck (Son's) in my garage, but the cam swap and the replacement motor is hard to beat on a rainy day. My son's truck with his rear gears and tranny puts on a real good 1 city block show. There are few that have fell to the red beast. OBTW---the combinations that were tested in different articles in the magazines are easy to create. Iron heads are not bad, they just limit Compression Ratio with today's gas.

Once you get past the "I got skewered by the seller" and decide on what you want to do--GET IT DONE. All of us are full of advice but are not the ones that are dealing with this issue.

No trolls here bud. You asked what people thought and I told you. If you don't like the answer, I can't help it. And yes, if you are naive enough to think everyone is honest then this is not the last time crap like this will happen to you.
