Here is what I am going with...

15x14 on the back...

With these hubcaps after they are blasted, powdercoated (or hydrodipped) not sure yet...

and hopefully it will look something like this...

Wow the trucks look great. Working on getting a 67 3/4 ton 2wd cab over camper, 60k original miles. 327 4bbl with 4spd, with original chrome hubcaps. Gonna pull the camper and rebuild over next couple years. Gonna put a retro fast and furious flat deck truck together, picked up 3 sets of factory steel wheels over the past few weeks. 16"x7", 16"x8", and 16"x10". Will post some pics once

That will look tough. The '70 Stepside pro-street truck I built in the early-90s had that look. It was 514 red with red wheels and chrome '70 Chevy hubcaps. Everything about the exterior was stock, except wheel and tire width.

Re: Trucks with wide rear steelies and dog dish caps ! Lets see e'm

Don't have a photo handy, but my 1970 GMC 3500 has factory 16.5 inch 8 lug wheels - 10"w on the front and 12"w on the rear. Am thinking of going to 16" wheels due to tire availability - and hoping to go same width on all four. Any suggestions?

Steelies and dog dish caps....im in

I had to go to a wider trim ring, but these are what I was running originally. They were just too loose, so ended up with whats on the truck.

73 steelies to clear the disk brakes and 61-63 deluxe caps

I haven't painted them yet. I actually been thinking about getting vinyl stickers made before I try paint.

That is what I am going to do also. I bought extra of the vinyl that I am going to wrap the truck with and I will use it to do the rings and the bowtie once I get mine back from the chrome shop.

Hmmm, FYI, your gold '68 c20 has later model rims (post # 56). 16.5" bump wheels introduced for the '69 model year, 1968 16.5" wheels ( hard to find) came with clips and accept original hubcap styling ( see blue '68 below).
