Yes the doors are new doors that I got from Goodmark. The fit is alot better that I thought. I thought that i would have to do adjusting. So far so good.

Re: My 1965 build thread

I'm restoring a '63(frame off) does anyone know where i can find a diagram of how the cab to frame mount kit all goes together. It's been a while since I took the cab off and don't remember how all the bushings and bolts go. Thanks, Alan

I can scan the diagram that I got with my kit.
It would be tomorrow though, because it's at the shop.

Re: My 1965 build thread

I haven't got anything done to the trucks for awhile. I 've been working on a Miata. I'm almost done with it. I need something that is better on gas. Maybe I can get back on the trucks soon.

Re: My 1965 build thread

Nice job on the Mazda. I would love to get my hands on a 55 that nice then drop it with some bigger rims and engine swap and drive it. Leave the body just like it is. Also looks to be a great start on the 65. I am headed out today to pick up a 63 SWB GMC that I picked up last week for a steel so I will be watching your build from time to time. Keep it up. Also you seem alot like me! I have 6 project vhehicals right now in different stages, a 1140sq shop that is getting a second floor added this summer, a 1880's hose that I am rebuilding, 4 1/2 month old son and I am still bringing home more projects! My wife must be a saint is all I can say.

Re: My 1965 build thread

I've got a dilemma. I've got to many projects and there is no room in the shop. I'm thinking about selling my whole 65 project or part it out. It would free up alot of space. I haven't worked on the 65 since my last post. At this rate it will take 20+ years to complete. Don't ask me why but I got hooked on the miata. I've got 3 1/2 of them now and might get another in a couple of weeks. I want to build a turbo miata and a monster miata with a V8. Have I completely lost my mind?

Hey Rogue 64, where's the Killboy.com pix taken? The only place that I've seen his crew is on the Dragon.

I don't get on miata.net much. It's been a few months. I spend most of my computer time here.

Nice pix

I honestly don't know the size of it. I have not looked into it. I bought it put brakes on it and parked it.

My shop is 30X30X12

The Goodmark door fit the hole really well. It would be cheaper for me to repair the doors that came off of the truck. That way I would have some extra cash for more goodies.

Re: My 1965 build thread

Ive got the passenger side pretty much buttoned up. I've moved on to the driver side. I've been doing body work for almost 12 years and OEM panels are so much easier. There's alot of head scratching, trying to figure out the best way to get these panels in. The driver side was stamped 1/2" off. You can see how I cut around the cab mount to get the floor lined up with the A post and inner rocker. The curve of the floor did not match the curve of the floor support. I had to cut relief cuts to get it to lay down.

Re: My 1965 build thread

More progress tonight. I have finally removed all of my bracing. The A post is done. The outer rocker is lined up. Still need to do the left cab corner. Still have alot of grinding to do underneath. Tonight we started smoothing the fire wall.

Pic 1 is me
Pic 2 is my neighbor and fellow member SDailey
Pic 3 is the Left A post
Pic 4 is a rust hole that was patched. The gas filler hole will be plugged soon.
