Re: how about some interesting factory two tone paint pics!

I'm trying to decide on a two tone paint scheme for both my black trucks. I know I want to do the full side stripe, not the one that only comes up to the body line. I would like to eventually do both trucks the same, but my crew has red interior, the Blazer has light gray. So I could do any shade of blue on the Blazer, but not on the crew. Silver or gray is always nice, but I want something a little different and fancy, yet subdued. I'd like to go with maybe a dark purple or black cherry kind of color, something that wouldn't immediately stand out as two tone until the sun hit it.
Anyone know of a site where I could do some color sampling to get an idea what it would look like? Like a photoshop type thing? Thanks

Re: how about some interesting factory two tone paint pics!

My 77 has been painted over but I haven't seen the original paint job on any other truck. The roof and the inner trim area was an off white color and the rest of the truck was a dark red, and of course the yellow striped trim for 77.

As far as I can tell, my dad's old suburban was original, I'll have to check the spid later. I've never seen anything like it, Brown with a white stripe.

Does anyone have any pictures of a red over copper center truck. Essentially the top color of mine in the center and red where the top color was. Thanks in advance.

what have you got to trade?

funny, I've been installing those diamond tread running boards on all my trucks since 1985. The store guy always tries to sell me newer modern designs. hopefully I can put 33"'s on and not have a fitment issue.

Not sure if your truck is lifted but I had 33 12.50s on my truck with a 2-1/2" lift. I had to notch the running boards. The tires still rubbed slightly.
