Re: Serpentine belt conversions
The kit just pictured would work.

Re: Serpentine belt conversions
I'll pull it off and picture it and that will answer what is included. Also I will be able to get shipping cost. Thanks, Tom

Re: Serpentine belt conversions
Here's some pics of one of two. They are both the same. The P/S pump is a conventional Saginaw pump with dual return ports. I don't have the delete pulley. I can do 60.00 less if I keep the AC pump. Thanks, Tom

Re: Serpentine belt conversions
Do you have any sbc complete kits left? If so are they detailed/natural and what is shipping to 19372?

Re: Serpentine belt conversions
I was going to go this route before stumbling uopn my 91 setup ay a local junkyard. It's a good deal. I have mine on my motor but it wont actually run for awhile. I'll tell you in advance your going to need a new water neck because the angle of the one you have runs the upper radiator hose right into the serp belt.
Good luck |

Re: Serpentine belt conversions
I can get you the water neck to match the serp set up, no extra charge. As mentioned you will need to buy a new water pump. Order one for a 95 C/K 1500 if you want it to have the provision for the return heater hose. If not order it for a 89 C/K 1500. The early pump will give a cleaner look as it doesn't have a port to plug. PM sent
Thanks, Tom

I meant the neck angles the hose into the back of the alternator. I would assume the late model has the correct angle neck since its still a small block. I didn't even think of it at the time. I'll let you know what I find out. tll74 might know what the fix is? |

Re: Serpentine belt conversions
I just bought a serpentine setup. I have a 1981 SBC with the dbl hump heads with the accessory bolt holes. What is the part number for the water pump I need?
Thanks, Scott

Re: Serpentine belt conversions
Tom, GATES Part # 43114 Water Pump (Standard); Cast Iron, Reverse Rotation, 2 Outlets, is this the one I need to use. This is the setup I have. part# 101187851 a/c bracket and part# 10118701 alternator bracket.

Re: Serpentine belt conversions
Yes, I still have some available for both the BBC and SBC. The idler that takes place of the AC pump is a hard find used but is still available new. I can check on the price of the idler and see how it it would afect the cost if your wanting a conversion. Thanks, Tom
