Re: 68 project

Finally got some more shop time in today. Was able to get the rear trailing arms and axle housing sand blasted and ready to por.

I also almost have all the front suspension and brake system, ready to get this thing rolling on its own again.

Re: 68 project

About to get the bottom side finished up, all the floor patches and door pillars are welded in now drivers rocker is installed. Today I painted the whole bottom side with POR 15' now I am thinking about spraying the bottom with rhino liner to protect and help with sound barrier and vibration.

Thanks bro, I always enjoy having some company at the shop. I wasn't trying to talk you out of the mirrors you like that's just my opinion which isn't worth a whole lot

Great to see that you're back at it and keeping us updated. Looking forward to maybe seeing this thing in person at a cruise in or something once it's all done!

Thanks for taking the time to look through my build, it has definitely gone on for awhile. Talent with tig, nah, I just got it and have had to practice plenty to get it down to an art, it is a lot different than mig welding for sure.

Betty was laid down very carefully and as far as scratching it there is no paint on her so nothing to scratch right now, I just sand blasted it a few weeks ago. We don't move it around to much anyways, I should be done with the cab in a few weeks and I can prime her out and set it to the side and get back to concentrating on getting the frame on the ground and rolling again.

I am in for the ride my friend I have another project right behind this one I hope to start on next spring some time which is my other build thread

Re: 68 project

Started removing the old cowl panel today, no pictures yet but man I thought I had blown all those pesky pine needles out of there, boy was I ever wrong This I feel was a very good choice as there is no good way to see underlying problems that exist. I will try to get some good pics tomorrow.
