Nice progress. Where are you planning to mount the 'vette regulator?

I've seen a lot of guys mount it very close to the tank to reduce the length of the return line, but I've always wondered how much of a pressure drop there would be before it made it all the way up front to the fuel rail.

Re: Mike's 50

I will find out. It is a very common way of doing it on factory vehicles, MBZ, BMW, GM all do it I know still.
Worse case I will upgrade to the Aero Motive filter and Regulator I have, wanted to limit the length of the return line to the tank.

Re: Mike's 50

I'm leaning towards GMPP factory corvette drive system.
It is priced nice and comes complete. I looked at those and the holley system and they are all priced very high compared to the GMPP stuff.
Not concerned about shine so I have eliminated those other.

Truck is looking great!

I used this system on my '56 LS swap and have been very happy with it. Wish I would have coated the brackets to prevent the aluminum spotting / corrosion that has been occuring. Hopefully the AC will clear your frame.

Re: Mike's 50

Advance Design,
Thanks, like your build and wish I had the talent that most of you guys have.
I don't plan on running A/C.
Never use it, can add it later If I choose

Re: Mike's 50

I remember the price for the GMPP accessory drive was less money for the one with A/C compared to the one without A/C....so maybe price them both before buying.

Re: Mike's 50

didn't get a lot done this weekend. mounted the fuel lines and filter to the engine compartment. still working on cleaning up the grille. I took the side and center verticals off the grille, media blasted and painted. the horizontal bars I'm just going to clean them up some and then I'm going reassemble it, Hopefully.

Also started to mount the Transmission shifter, using the Lokar Nostalgia 16" with the old school knob.
I will also be using a trans mount 11" chrome parking brake handle mounted just to the right of the shifter

Re: Mike's 50

Looks good Mike. Notice the AM frame had the mount for the intermediate shaft already in place?

Re: Mike's 50

Well I didn't get much done over the 4 days off. I had been working on cleaning up the grille. I took the bars off the upright supports off, media blasted, repaired broken and missing fender mount nuts on end plates and painted. reassembled with SS bolts and nuts.
Also bought a pretty nice set of original headlight trim rings.
Hope to get some stuff done on the truck this weekend have another 4 days off.
Progress is slow but the little things keep me going.
My buddy that is doing the Absolute Floor kit should be getting started in the next couple weeks.
Also hope to get the frame out to powder coat in the next month or so. Hopefully!

Fun to see it coming together slooowly. Since I bought a basket case and haven't seen much of it together and trying to get all the pieces to put it together.
