hey, project is moving along good. paint looks very good! do you happen to know if the cut & buff is done at the shop or is it outsourced to someone? i am looking for someone to "finish" mine.... i am on the east side, but if needed i can make a trek to the "dark"side... you going out to the g-g show at westworld? |

Re: 1971 Custom Crew Cab Build - Arizona-
We do the wash/cut/buff/polish/wax at show quality.... The crew cab looks insanely shiney, with that wet mirror look.... I'm gonna post pics with in the next few days... Call and set something up... 623-455-0359 Ferman...
I'm not too sure if I'm gonna make it out to this show , i might be going out of town.. |

Re: 1971 Custom Crew Cab Build - Arizona-
I know I asked earlier about the frame and you stated you are using the suburban frame...did you have to extend it? If so, where and how much? How will that work for mounting the bed, being that the mounts for a suburban tub are different than a truck bed mount...
BTW, your crew is looking SIIIIIIIIICK!!! Keep the pics coming!! |

Budnikguy .... I used the same frame... We popped the rivets on the crossmember that attaches the ibeams that hold the rearend and pushed it back to fit shortbed..

Re: 1971 Custom Crew Cab Build - Arizona-
Any pics? The frame would be a bit short though right? Meaning you could not mount a factory style sport bumper? Also, what about the mounts for the bed, they are different than a burb and in a different location...curious as I am about to lay my crew cab body on a frame and looking for the best option.
