Did a repair on one of the springs for the seat and had the upper and lower powder-coated.

Wow. That in-dash clock and that radiator are intensely cool. What color will the truck be?

Re: New 64 Stepper Project

Finished the front fender seals there are three on each side but I didnt get a pic of the third one.
Painted the front and rear calipers with POR15. Clear coated the gold metal parts.
Cleaned up the seat sliders, dry lubed them and then clear coated them. They work excellent now.

Re: New 64 Stepper Project

Looks good, having your truck in the paint shop in this phase of primer and sanding always seems like it will never end. I too went through the tough task of finding a perfect color combo a couple months ago. For the white roof I finally went with Wimbledon White which had that warmer cream tone. That Campus Cream looks nice.

Re: New 64 Stepper Project

I like it. Not sure which I prefer better, the standard 2-tone (all white upper cab) or the later one. Both really stand out.

Re: New 64 Stepper Project

Come to find out my truck came from the Alexandria Louisiana area used on a farm there, I know the descendants who sold it to my friend who sold it to me (in parts) after he tried to restore it. It was purchased at Southern Chevrolet in Alexandria, LA.

Re: New 64 Stepper Project

I plan to use a dash-pad to drive, put it behind the seat when I park at a show. In the mean time I can't wait till it's cut and buffed.
