I think the guy is an idiot, and if he wants to act like that, he should be driving a f**d!

Re: Why do this to your truck ...LOL

Here is what I saw around my area. It is a 97+ Geo Metro. You can see the wing fine but check out the motorcycle side mirrors. The originals were taken off then look like they were epoxyed up, then drilled, then mounted.

Re: Why do this to your truck ...LOL

Someone mentioned tail light covers... I cannot believe that people actually install those on their vehicles. "Hmm, what little piece of plastic can I add to my truck to make it considerably less safe and make me look like a moron at the same time? I know I'll put little cutouts of a naked lady over my tail lights!".. Puleez...

Re: Why do this to your truck ...LOL

I don`t know if it`s true. But,I heard a good way to create downforce on the rear wheels of a truck would be to haul a load in the bed.Has anyone else heard this theory?

I think my kids made a truck just like that with Legos last year.

Now, here's a wing ...

Re: Why do this to your truck ...LOL

omg what have i started ..LOL. This thread has gotten popular!

That geo is rediculous! LMAO ...the wing probably cost more then the car!

@Special-K ... adding a load in the bed aids in traction. I guess its the same thing as downforce but without the wind?LOL

Re: Why do this to your truck ...LOL

What a waste!

That would be awesome to do to my 72, since it has coil springs in back.
It would really steady it up on turns.

Re: Why do this to your truck ...LOL

Around the crowd I hang with, that would be known as a "something-from-every-row-of-Canadian Tire" truck.
And the first comment that comes to my mind...that truck needs a healthy dose of "Lund-Away"

Anybody think the downforce would be more evenly applied if it was on the roof?

Re: Why do this to your truck ...LOL

How about one on the roof to direct the wind to it? Better yet how about chopping the top to reduce drag? All he needs is a great big visor over the windshield to finnish off the look.

HAHAHAHAHAHA!! I'm laughing so hard because two days ago I saw a mexican driving a white mid 90's chevy with a wing on the roof. He works at the mexican resteraunt in the town i work in. What a coincidence.

By the way his truck and the truck this thread is about look STOOPID!!! And how does the guy in the GEO expect to see when he backs up??

Re: Why do this to your truck ...LOL

You guys are pretty harsh, just because is looks totally dorky and makes no sense at all, doesn't mean it shouldn't be done. And you gotta give it to him....that is unique! It looks like it might even have a third brake light in it, SWEET! What defines the difference of a modification between "unique" vs "custom"???

The only way that truck will hit 150 mph, is by driving off a cliff (probably not a bad idea...), then it will either render the wing useless or make it glide a little further

And as far as the Lund demo truck goes .... as mentioned in my last post, needs a real healthy dose of LUND-AWAY

Re: Why do this to your truck ...LOL

By plugging some figures into my trusty Commodore 64 computer, That truck would only need 2300 HP to achieve those speeds. Should be able to obtain that with a little nitrous, a K&N filter and several thousand dollars in JC Whitney bolt-on accesories.

Reminds me of every truck that Ed Bruce used to build on his show that was on TNN years ago, was it called "Truckin" ?
