Re: Post your square C/L finds!
In California, all vehicles have to be smog checked and can't be modified on the fuel system. Back several years ago, diesels were exempt. I was down at the big speed shop, P.A.W. and there was a RATTY old Chevy truck with 6.2 diesel emblems on the fender. It looked really tired. The thing that drew my attention was that it had very nice rims and tires.
i looked under the back end for any clues. It had a Halibrand quick-change differential. I could only imagine what it had under the hood. Being a diesel, it didn't have to go through smog check. |

78 Blazer 350 auto complete runner for a reasonable price $2300. No mention of the demon rust but at this price you could fix a lot and be OK.

74 4x4 4 speed. Looks like a good donor for a conversion as it is claimed to have rust. But for $800?

Re: Post your square C/L finds!
I tried to buy this sent a friend to inspect the truck. He found all kinds of problems not disclosed and evidently a deposit ($500) is not refundable unless it says it is in the add. What bull****. The truck is supposed to have a 2-3 year old well done white paint job but they didnt paint the door jams. Of course that is a problem he has re-posted the exact same add and added no changes. His images do not show the problems with the door jams, there is some rust problems and even though he owns an auto shop and says its all in great working order the speedo and odometer are not working. My guy said it was worth about 5k tops. Just beware a jackass is trying to rip someone else off.

Well, not a square, but I'd love to own/drive that. The headlights/grill are easy to swap out to Silverado pieces if you wanted.

Re: Post your square C/L finds!
The price only seems high until you look at how much truck you're getting. It is a fleet truck, but you know it was on a maintenance schedule and got regular attention. It has a 4L80E and very low miles. I like it. A price in the low 6's is probably fair, if you get down in the 5's you got a really good deal. JMHO.

Re: Post your square C/L finds!
Nice unmolested 4x4 3/4 ton. 1986 StarCraft conversion $3800! In this condition and price I don't think it will be listed long.
https://portland.craigslist.org/nco/...230313004.html I'm selling a hard to find Stacraft converted Suburban. It's in good condition for its age, runs and drives good. All the power windows work great power seat works perfect and rear seat folds into a bed. 350 engine runs good and TH400 transmission shifts perfect. 10 bolt front end and 14 bolt rear. It has a small exhaust leak and drivers seat shows some wear.
