while this is fresh in my mind does anyone have any thoughts on using a 3" or 4' suspension lift for a K20 all around with airbag helpers in the rear to soften the ride and not loose load capacity I know the K20 springs are narrower but with the work to make them fit would the ride quality be noticeable?

If a soft ride is your goal, you would be better off to use stock height springs and use airbag helpers both in the front and rear to get your lift. With that design, the airbags would be supporting most of the load which would give you a nice ride.

well got the pinstripe all layed out and made the decision to use the black outlined aluminum tread-plate Z-71 off-road vinyls that I had laying around for about 3 years now, don't think they will be a permanent deal but until I find something I like better or would look stock on a 70's Chevy 4x4 anyway here's the pics for yall

also replaced all the bulbs and tested the harness

it's getting closer, I got the truck in the shop tonight an power washed the snot outa it, I'm gonna build some 3" body blocks for the box and hopefully have it locked down tonight, then once I have my clutch I'll order a body lift for the cab too I'll post up some pics as son as they all up-load

Personally I Feel That If Your Going To ALL the Work with the Truck.... I'd Replace the Lights With LED's, just my .02 though.... IT LOOKS GREAT EITHER WAY.... I just prefer LED

thanks Ryan, and not yet, kinda have to wait and see how much more I'll have to have to clear 36" or 37" military take-off's, so for rite now I'm gonna get what I can done with what I have.

scrapped a 74 c-65 today and scored some goodies that I think I may use on this truck

here's some pics of the option sheet out of my glove box

I think I'm going to have a custom options sheet made up with the 7.3L and zf5, also change the color and mirror options

got some work done to the drivers side of the cab this week but have a long way to go
my dad and step mom got me a pair of cc outer rocker panels for Christmas and I decided that the cab that I saved from the truck that donated the box would have to be sacrificed for the grater cause and lost anything worth salvaging, including the replacement floor panel and part of the original floor, the bolt in trans hump, and a few other parts.
donor cab gutted and striped

drilled some extra holes while I was at it

my great-grandma always told me waste not want not, and apon closer inspection of the cab from the donor truck it was my strong feelings to strip anything worth keeping and scrap the rest so I did
