Re: 1966 C10 Stepside Build: Project 66 C-06

If anyone needs a stepside bed with tailgate minus the fenders I have one that is in good shape and has already been media blasted and put in primer. The front panel and bedsides need new angle strips for the bed wood and may need a little hammer and dolly work around the stepside bolt holes. Tailgate is in great shape and just needs a small dent in one of the letters worked. These items are free + shipping or you come pick them up! see pics above

My neighbor is looking for a tailgate and bedsides for me. He and I might want to get it. I'll PM you after I talk to him this evening.

Yea it does, my truck was in a minor fender bender and the inner fender was buckled. The outer fenders have some cancer and I don't have the time or the skills and tools to make repairs.

And yes, porterbuilt makes these sweet new boxes, once I get the cab back to the body shop and start work on the chassis i'll take more pictures

Re: 1966 C10 Stepside Build: Project 66 C-06

Well Gents, It has been way too long since I have updated you all. The truck is on hold for a moment until I'm finished with my fiance's camaro. Its a 92 RS that was originally a 305 tbi/700r4 combo. Its getting an LS6Hybrid/4L60E with some go fast goodies. If you are interested in checking that out hit up the link below.

In the mean time here are a few pics from that build.

And a little 1/8th mile track action from a couple Rakich Performance Vehicles.

My 06 ZO6, heads cam full bolt-ons 577rwhp/552tq 7.25 @ 100mph spinning through half of 1st

My friend Todds Rakich built 89 silverado: 5.3 swap big cam, built 4L60E with 3200 stall, 100 shot 8.xx @ 89mph on the bottle, no traction

Re: 1966 C10 Stepside Build: Project 66 C-06

Thanks for Checking up on me man! I get back 1 Feb. My business partner is supposed to be moving into the shop this weekend so once that is done he's going to take the truck over to a friends body shop to get all the porterbuilt stuff installed. Once the frame is done we'll get the fuel lines, brake lines and wiring ran while the cab is getting worked on. Lately I've just been getting more parts ready. Ordered a new bed from Mar-k and some rust free OEM fenders and high hump from ebay but that's about it man. Itching to get home so I can button up the fiance's camaro and get rolling on the truck.

Oh yea....bought another project too. 1972 Camaro...I'm in deep man..lol

I think there's a car commercial something about the passion that drives you - you definitely have it man... get back here safe and sound - looking forward for some pictures on both projects.... would love to send mine out to a paint shop but instead I've decided to get over-spray on everything I forget to cover up lol

Good friend of mine is a painter so he gives the buddy discount. It still gets pricey though because he's a perfectionist and won't let me have it until it looks good to him.

Re: 1966 C10 Stepside Build: Project 66 C-06

OMG FOLKS!!! I'm back from the dead! I've been gallivanting around the globe and haven't had a chance to update anything on my build. as you know the fiance's camaro is done and runs like a beast! so now for the truck. Body work is coming along great! I got the new door skins put on, getting the bear claw electric locks/latches installed from LMC, body work on the cab is coming close to being done as well. new cab corner, rocker panels replace, floor replaced, back of the cab had some dents and dings so that is being worked out as well. Can't upload pics at the moment but I will as soon as I get a good wifi connection! Until next time!
