When you take a pic of your junk in the mirror, it's customary to remove the sweat pants, but we aren't complaining. Lol

Re: Just a couple pics of my junk

Very glad to see you're back again also. I remember seeing that K10 years ago when i was a teenager and found this site. I never forgot how awesome it was and have since bought an original 72 K10 SWB to build and replicate it. One of the old pictures with that truck in front of the gulf gas pumps is still the background picture on my computer. You take really artistic pictures and I'm looking forward to seeing some more! Sorry to hear you sold that 4x4, but im sure someone else is enjoying it now

Re: Just a couple pics of my junk

Sorry about the divorce thing. I ended selling most of my bikes. Still have a few in store for projects and one I ride.

I think you can touch that liner up pretty good. Line-X,right?

So,did that fat Caddy satisfy your big car urges completely or is a '59 Impala still on the wish list?

Re: Just a couple pics of my junk

Thanks guys. I've been doing my best to stay focused on my future... It's the only thing I have any control of... I can do nothing about the past.

But yes, A 59 Impala/biscayne is definitely on my short list of cars to own before I die! Probably the only car I'd consider selling my lowrider truck for. Didn't really bother me selling the 4x4. I'd gotten to where i wasn't driving it... And I've driven the convertible more in the last year then I did the 4x4 the last 5 years I owned it. The "smiles per mile" are pretty high when I roll it out.

Yep,it's all about what lays ahead. The other thing is realizing it's about doin',not havin'. Been there doin' that! Then again, you could always meet a gal with bucks who always wanted a '59 Chevy, too . I know...I know. If you're like me you're not too concerned about finding Ms Next in any hurry.

Yeah sorry to hear about the d Asa. I'm diggin on the Caddys. Several times over the years I've mentioned buying one and my wife wants no part of it. She's no Caddy girl. There is a 67 2 door here in town in real good shape. I could see me in it for sure. I also love the Eldorados.
You have way cool stuff brother.

Hey, Asa, I don't know how I missed this thread, but just now ran across it. Glad to see you post again. I hope your visits are better this go-round if you visit more frequently. I'm looking forward to seeing the LS install completed and hear how well you like it.

Beautiful truck. Mine has a long way to go. What are the wheels you're running? They're awesome looking.

I'm assuming Asa picked up his truck and is too busy enjoying his newfound LS power to give us an update.

Well, Well, Well, it's good to have you back on here. Hope the LS conversion is going good. If you need some help just let me know.

Does the droptop ride as good as the hardtop? Halen was talking about that ride in the gold one the other day.

Picking up the truck turned into an all day project. Seems like I've got an injector sticking. Transmission is also acting up, possibly a valve sticking in it. But yea... it's got power!

The convertible is at least as good as the hardtop. I'll be sure to give her a ride in it sometime

That's a big change you just did. Now gotta get the gremlins out. Sometimes we get lucky and it's like a flip of the switch, but no matter what,it "will" make for a great transition. That truck is truly refined now...and still appears "not too far" from factory. Justa clean machine!

I like em that appear stock "at a glance"... stock colors, trim, interior... with altered ride height. For several years I've been a firm believer in keeping my hood closed when I'm at a cruise-in or show. The lines of the vehicle flow better that way... and it does away with people leaning across fenders pointing out what either they think you've done wrong, or to point something out that they think they know to their "followers". There's a part of me that's going to want to open up the hood to show the LS... and the other part of me is probably gonna have me just leaving it closed and walking away. LoL
