Re: Long live the Daily Driver
Every day. 18 miles to work, usually about 25 home to avoid traffic. 1985 C10, 2007 Vortec 4.8, 4L60E. I've been driving this one set up this way for four years.

Re: Long live the Daily Driver
I really love it. Around 21 mpg and good power. It always starts right up and doesn't stink if I stop at a coffee stand like my old carbureted trucks. You'll ask yourself why you waited once you get yours done.

Re: Long live the Daily Driver
Amen to that. We just had a pretty strong storm blow through and on my way home from work in my c10 - I was more wet inside than outide because my windshield started leaking as well as with the seals on my vent windows... good times!

Re: Long live the Daily Driver
Wait one minute... what is that on the trailer? That is crazy!!! I truly hope that has a killer stereo to pound old school rock while smoking Camel non filters and wearing an AC/DC concert shirt! That El Camino is cool!

Re: Long live the Daily Driver
This is my daily. 84 Sierra 3/4 heavy duty. Picked it up in N Phoenix in Nov 2019 after selling my 03 Durango. Didnt run for squat so put on new carb, plugs, eliminated the egr since all the emissions was gone anyways, removed most of the A/C stuff. Going to replace the hood, doors and front bed panel, get it straightened out and repainted white with a blue center. The topper will be refinished in white as well.
It's called the White Knight. |

Re: Long live the Daily Driver
Depending on what day it is, I drive one of these trucks.
These are the ONLY rigs I have that aren't motorcycles: Now I'm thinking, I need a 4X4 El Camino too! |
