Weekender

Thursday night I pulled the (9 month since rebuilt) short shaft TH400 because it sounded like nails on a chalk board at 100db. My tranny guy went through it again to find nothing but a slight heat discoloration on a few of the plates. We reinstalled on Sunday morning....ah no noise and firm shifts. The lesson - I think rebuilt converters are hit and miss. Oh well?
