Re: 1963 GMC C30 panel truck
Started working on the barn doors. I want to get the back end all back together. Had to weld on a few new nuts for the bottom latch for the drivers side door. Had to touch up a few broken spot welds and cracks. Just need to patch one bad spot and it will be ready for some POR 15.

Re: 1963 GMC C30 panel truck
Found some beauty black walnut for the gauge cluster backing. Picked up some 1/16 lexan to go behind the walnut. Just kind of making it up as I go along. Will get what I got together then will figure out how to mount the gauges and seal it all up.

Very cool build. I'm liking that you're making more of the stuff yourself vs outsourcing. I love seeing people getting their own wheels turning. Subscribed for sure.

Re: 1963 GMC C30 panel truck
the gauge cluster turned out just the way I wanted! I was going to install the tach I have but I'm going to hold off, possibly get 2 gauges in there. I was thinking a tach and a fuel pressure gauge to monitor the output of my low pressure fuel pump.

Re: 1963 GMC C30 panel truck
Finally got my own welding gas bottle and proceeded with the rocker rebuild. Ended up pulling the whole front support, only enough left to give me a hard time. I am hoping to get the passengers side done tomorrow then I will be moving on to the drivers side

Thanks! I can't wait to take her for a spin, that's keeping me motivated hahaha
Right on, just need settle on a tach. Will be interesting to see how the wait to start indicator will go in. Thinking about incorporating some wood there too |

Re: 1963 GMC C30 panel truck
Do you have any more details on the window seals you used. Close up pictures? What they are out of?
