Those are all great projects. I have my grandfather's '68 short step to rebuild also. Where do you find parts for your '76 Nova Corts60? I have a friend who has a '78 and there are a few parts on it that need replacing but no one seems to reproduce parts for the mid/late 70's Nova. If I were to list all the other projects I'd like to have it would fill up an entire page with a '69 hardtop Camaro and a 37/38 Chevy 5 window coupe at the very top.

Re: Any other projects in your garage?

I just bought another '64 , plus I am almost finished replacing the quarters on my '70SS El Camino and I just put a TBI set-up on my '72 El Camino. I don't have current pics of my '51 Chevy truck or my '69 SS Chevelle that are waiting their turn.

Re: Any other projects in your garage?

My current project, other than my truck, is a '71 Bultaco Alpina 250 I recently acquired. It runs very well, just needs a lot of cosmetic attention. All it needed to run was a spark plug cap and fresh gas. It still has the original Spanish-made Perelli tires on it, which still the little nipples from the mold. I'm going to strip it down to the frame, clean/paint/polish/inspect everything and put it back together. Then I might sell it, or I might keep it around for a pit bike at the races.

I also race cross-country motorcycles, so my dad and I have two KTM 200SXs. At the moment its more like one and a half. The crankshaft broke in my bike, and when I split the cases I found one gear tooth missing in the transmission, and a couple others were cracked. This is just a couple problems in the long string of random problems I've had with the bike. It ran like a raped ape but not anymore. Its been moved to the barn to sit for decades because I can't stand to look at it anymore. Now I am trying to find a job so I can save up for a Yamaha. lol. No more orange bikes for a while.

This one isn't my project, but its at my place: I have a friend that has a serious lack of good judgment, that paid $1700 for a '66 Corvair that is really a peice of junk. It nearly killed him(long story). So now its sitting in my pasture because he doesn't have a place to keep it. He's been trying to sell it on craigslist for $700, but nobody has even called.

And I think the last of my projects is my '69 C-20 that is now becoming less of a project. Its now at the all-that's-left-is-dinky-little-things stage.

Don't know the exact name / paint code, but it's a mid 70's,, (around 74-76) Buick and Olds factory color. The light color was a custom mix of cream, tinted with the green.

Sorry it took me so long...I get most of my parts through Classic Industries. They just started making a whole lot more stuff for the 4th gens recently. Some of it is kinda pricey though...

Other than that it takes keeping a sharp eye around town and craigslist!!!

Not exactly an unfinished project or anything, but I like having these old B-Bodies around. Here's my '96 Impala.

The story about this one (and my truck for that matter) is on my Car Domain page, if you're interested.

Nice job, Super73! Are you a nastyz28.com member also (fyi to the rest - it's a GREAT 70-81 camaro site)? An LS1/T56 and major chassis mods would be in the works for me if I didn't have so many projects (BIG old house, panel truck, and demanding job).
I've got a former 71 RS/SS396 project. It's my 4th 70-81. Put it on hold when I started doing house rehabs, and now doing the dream house (5000 sq ft 3 story 1890 victorian). Then I got the 62 GMC 1000 Panel that was a minor basket case!
Camaro had the posi, TH400, and "396" (actually they were a 402 in 71+) yanked and put in a nice looking 307/TH350 car that was already restored... I'm all about cornering over having a car that flies like a bullet in a straight like and can';t turn worth a crap. So I decided unless I came across a great deal on a #'s matching engine, I'd keep it light. Built a nice streetable 406 small block chevy, Edelbrock E-Tec al. heads (like the LS1 chambers/runners, sorta like an aluminum vortec aftermarket), full roller valvetrain and custom cam with big lift, modest duration, and a wide LSA to keep the street manners. 9.6:1 compression. Have an airgap RPM intake for it with a 750 AFB, but I think I will eventually swap to a GM TBI setup to keep it looking similar to a carb plus lots of wires all over... Unless I go with the psuedo-Weber 8 x 1 barrells with a stack type fuel injection setup... I want to stay away from the modern TPI manifold look if I can, but fuel injection has my vote for efficiency and good manners.
The rest of the car is a Tremec 5 speed, Ultra 16X8's (look like Enkie's or Firebird GTA wheels), Sumitomo HTR-Z 255/50/16's (awesome grip!), Global West tubular a-arms and solid del-a-lum bushings, BIG sway bars, 12" front discs, 11.1 rear discs, 3.23 posi, al. d-shaft, sub connectors, Stiffer springs all around (lowered), IAS shocks, and I'm gonna fab up some Herb Adams VSE style cowl/firewall to A-arm chassis stiffener braces to make the thing a real stiff deal. Probably doing a fiberglass hood and fenders at some point, as well as deck lid. This is all years down the road at this point. I have 90% of the parts, but -210% of the time... Here's some old shots:

tried to do a photo of the outside of the house, technical problems (need to reinstall photoshop to resize it)

Re: Any other projects in your garage?

Here are the couple projects that are done/in progress:

1964 c-10 short bed. Good shape, drove it with the straight 6 and 3 speed for awhile. Did a static drop and then the tranny went south. Dropped a 350 sb with a 2004R behide it. Moved the motor and trans back 10.5 inches in the frame. Z'd the front 4 inches and the rear 10 inches. Going to bag it and do some other little tricks to it.

1941 GMC 1 1/2ton. Z'd original rails 10 inches in the front and 14 inches in the rear. 292 straight 6 with a t-5 tranny. 1955 chevy front axle and 1980 something blazer rear axle. 1956 chevy truck bed. 1954 massey harris tractor grill. Radiator will be under the bed. 1937 chevy truck rims with 31" military tires. Still need to chop the top 6-7 inches.

1976 Honda CB-750. Cut off all the fat. 2006 r-6 exhaust can. dual disc front brakes. made the bars. aluminum rear fender. dirt bike peds...

Never know which one I want to work on, but the c-10 is in the garage now!
