Re: 1972 Blazer undecided!!
Cut down some truck doors today. Also bought a new welder for my b-day to do this myself!

Re: 1972 Blazer undecided!!
Not sure I am going to be able to finish this project. Going to have back surgery and may have to sell all of it. Will wait till I talk to doctor to decide. Hopefully can keep and finish.

Re: 1972 Blazer undecided!!
You are an inspiration. I need to find a frame and get going on it like this. Hopefully you won't have to sell, but I'm sure you wouldn't have any issues if you had to. You'll be in my thoughts, good luck at the doctor.

Re: 1972 Blazer undecided!!
Ok so I decided to keep going on this and bought some new doors and hinges but the new hinges do not fit very good so I used the new bottom ones and the original ones on top and made a world of difference. Will post pics later. Also still working on sheet metal and learning a lot by doing this myself(Not saying it is perfect but getting the concept).

Re: 1972 Blazer undecided!!
What brand of hinges did you buy that did not work so well? Looks like it all lines up pretty good now from that last pic!

Re: 1972 Blazer undecided!!
I got the Hinges from SKC. The top one was the only one that fit different but with a little work I think it will be ok. I have started to line up the panels and so far everything is looking good.

Bought a aftermarket tailgate and did not fit at all. Looking for a good tailgate if you have one let me know.

Hmmm - makes me wonder about the tailgate I have waiting to be installed.
Any updates to share on this project? |

Re: 1972 Blazer undecided!!
ok. So I bought another tailgate(Woodall) and it fits perfect! Must be something wrong with the other manufacture. Found out not my back but going to have complete hip replacement. I will post some more pictures in the next couple of days.
