Appreciate the inspirational words my man, videos will be coming sooner than that i hope.

Re: Parked Indefinite

Spent the weekend lowering the truck another 2". Weighed my options of how to go about it and decided to channel the cab and lower to rad support to match. Threw the fenders and turbos on just to see how everything is coming together. Here's the pics:

Stitched the floor back together for the most part, going to hold off on the transmission tunnel until i decide what to do with the interior. Took a few pics:

Re: Parked Indefinite

Was looking at what I've done so far when it occurred to me that I really made it tough on myself to mount the alternator. Luckily I still had the fuel pump boss to work with, so this is what I came up with:

I've been looking for a set of factory bucket seats for a while, but decided to pick these up the other day for $50. They're out of a 65 impala and I think with a little effort, they will turn out pretty good:

I've also got a start on the cold side piping, so here's some pics:

Re: Parked Indefinite

Looks great, I like your ideas, problem solving and fab work. I think the 65 seats will look much better due to the lowback design. Keep up the great work.

Thanks! The more I look at those seats the more I like them. It's going to be a little pricey to get foams and covers though, but will look great once they're done. Do you have any pics of your 55?

Intercooler is from a nissan r32 gtr. Was dirt cheap and fits the hole great. Just had to make a couple brackets and I was set.

Thanks guys!

Progress on this project has been in a bit of a slump. Thankfully, the old mans shop will be, for the most part, empty for the fall and winter seasons. So...I've taken up residence. Rest assured, these months to follow will hopefully document what I really want to accomplish with this truck. My only goal is to be driving this....this CREATION by springtime. This might(potentially) get good as the colder it gets, the more I'm in my element. NOTHING inspires me more than a full moon reflecting upon the first snowfall, supplemented by a stiff drink and some slow blues overpowering the former.

I digress....

These pics to follow will show how I raised the inners in the factory fenders to accommodate my 2" channel and potentially more static drop.

Looking back at the pics, I'm a little bummed how that fender came out. Pretty sure I can do better. Either way man, thanks for the words!

This is probably the coolest build I've seen in awhile; cheap, smart, and bad*ss. Well done good Sir.

Re: Parked Indefinite

I bet with some machining you could make that work. But then you'd need to keep it lub'd well and then it'd sling the lube all over.
