Re: Senior Project Build
I love the way the exhaust exits the back. Looks killer. Might look even cooler if it came out in the notch in the bumper where your plate goes. Of course, then you'd have to find another place for your plate.

Re: Senior Project Build
No I didn't have any problems with tire clearance, but it had terrible ground clearance. I just took the truck to an exhaust shop here in town and they bent it up for me

Re: Senior Project Build
No problem, it cost me $390 complete, and I already had the mufflers. I am mad because I forgot I had a universal X pipe stashed away, it would have been perfect.

Re: Senior Project Build
So I finally got some new spindles, and set about trying to fix everything. I looked closer at the rotors/hubs and realized that the inside was all chewed up, so there goes a set of brand new slotted/drilled rotors. Anyone have a good idea about what to do with them? Art project maybe? Anyways I had to pick up a set of stockers from NAPA for a '71 up. Still didn't get it all together. Heres a couple pics.

Re: Senior Project Build
The braided brake lines were an upgrade package that came with the kit from performance online, they might sell them seperately I dont know.

Re: Senior Project Build
Finally got the new springs in, and the spindles and everything installed. The new ride height looks much better.
Next is an alignment job and then we hit the road. Im gonna look for some trim rings and maybe hubcaps or something to spice up the wheels a bit. Any ideas on what I could do to make them look nicer? Last edited by LuckyHenriksen; 09-14-2008 at 10:42 PM. |

Re: Senior Project Build
Are you planning on putting the chrome trim in the grill?

Re: Senior Project Build
Paint 'em. My brother powder coated his for his '67 and they turned out pretty sharp. His truck is blue and he went with black rims...looked pretty cool. We aren't big chrome guys though.

Re: Senior Project Build
So my trans swap turned out good, but my TH400 isnt shifting. It just winds up high in first. If I stomp it to the floor it shifts. What could be wrong? I dont have any vaccum lines or anything hooked up to it yet. What all do I need to do to make it shift?
