Re: lets see your custom touches

Added a late 90's under hood tool box/storeage to driver's side.

Late 90's truck corded reel, under hood light

Aftermarket 40/20/40 custom seat

Mounted an underdash am/fm, cassette/cd

Added factory tach, tow hooks, factory am/fm all correct factory options

Line-ex bed spray & moved in-cab tank to under the bed with wheel well filler

Used 73-80 styled tow hooks for "rear" tow hooks

Added 4-core radiator and overflow windshield washer styled tank

Don't have all the pics in the computer but here's a couple.

Re: lets see your custom touches

Couple pics of the tow hooks, underdash/corner speakers, under hood light.

The corner speaker mounts are from board member "bigblock73", great set up but will ONLY work if in-cab tank is moved. Great product and fit like a glove.

The rear tow hooks are GM factory 73-80 hooks. Turned the hooks with the "J" opening to the front of the truck so tow strap won't slip off. Got lucky, they had almost the exact same mounting dimensions as my rear step bumper. Just had to ream the bolt holes ever so slightly. Also a pic of the rear bumper that I had Line-ex sprayed along with the bed.

Under hood light comes in really handy. Mounted in the corner above the heater core box and ran the cable forward between the fender and inner wheel well.

Re: lets see your custom touches

I can add some more here.
Under the hood cheap lighting almost any car has them. Mercury switch lights come on automatic when you open your hood.

Redid a SS Chevelle steering wheel and wrapped it in leather myself.

Added a late model truck mirror with compass and temperature reading.

It sucks not being able to hear!

LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB!
After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

Re: lets see your custom touches

It looks like a dash out of a 59 Impala. By far one of the best dashes to ever come from the General.

This gives me an idea. I wanted a way to commemorate the truck build to my father. I got it from him a couple months before he passed away. He was 37 years Air Force and was in Viet-Nam for several years. After he passed away I was going through his stuff and found a bunch of old Hot-Rod magazines from the 60's with Viet-Nam address where he was stationed. That would make an awesome headliner and tie him to the truck. Conversation piece for sure.
