Re: POST your 60-66 Panel truck only pictures
Anyone suggest a selling price for a 1963 half ton panel truck?
It's been sitting in my father's lot in Las Vegas for 30 years. Body and frame are good, almost no rust. Engine and trans useless I'm sure. Wondering if it's worth trying to sell or if I should donate it to charity. |

Re: POST your 60-66 Panel truck only pictures
nice truck, i thought i was looking at my sub at first glance.
have you been driving it up until now? i got my truck 1969 valentines day. drove it daily until 1991, parked it for 25 yrs and now have it about ready to go back on the road. good luck with your project, what are you going to do to it?

Re: POST your 60-66 Panel truck only pictures
Not sure what to do with it. It has 105K, and I destroyed the 292 in the 70s and replaced it with a 1968 250ci.....Outside of the block and the rims, it is a "survivor" C30 2wd extended panel. ( The original rims were "split" and most mechanics refused to deal with them in the 70s and 80s.)
I used it for work until the 90s, then I retired it to snow plow duty in my parking lot.. |

Re: POST your 60-66 Panel truck only pictures
to bad about the 292.
i used my truck as a work truck also and camper until i parked it. i have about 280k on the original drive train, its old and worn but still keeps running.

Re: POST your 60-66 Panel truck only pictures
Before, during and after. I built 2 of these for The Detroit movie that opened last year. One was a 65, Chevy C30 2wd that's sold, the other is , 66 GMC C30 with a retrofitted NAPCO 4wd, it was originally a Gerstenslager rescue ambulance. I plan to lower the roof to stock, shorten the back behind wheels and section the middle behind doors about 2ft total. Fix some of the quick panel work we needed to do for the film,Color change etc..
