Re: 4-5-6 Chevy Trucks - 1966 Chevy K10 lwb fleetside build
We looked at several unmolested cabs, to determine where and how many square washers were used. All of them had a least one and some had two. We also riffled through our bin of used cab mount components and realized there are different thicknesses of the square washers, so I think they also serve as spacers.

Very nice truck to start with there Tony, it will be one of a kind when it's done. I was noticing your new 2 post lift and was wondering if you would share the info on it, brand/wt limit/cost? "Cool" truck...Vernski

Re: 4-5-6 Chevy Trucks - 1966 Chevy K10 lwb fleetside build
Thanks for the kind words. The lift is used, from a local Chevy dealership, but it will not see the same number of cycles at my shop in 10 years, that it saw in one year at the car dealership, so it will work great for me. It is a 7000#, 2-post asymetric lift. It is a great addition to my shop and will be very helpful for our projects. I paid about $1,900.00, including tax, delivery, set-up and 3-phase wiring hook-up.

Tony,
Looking very good. I guess you didn't make the 4th of July goal. I was hoping to get on this thread and see a bunch of pics of this rolling down the street at a 4th of July parade. |

Re: 4-5-6 Chevy Trucks - 1966 Chevy K10 lwb fleetside build
that is one beautiful truck.the only non correct things i see on this truck are that the interior fawn paint seems to be glossy and they came with semi gloss interior paint.and the other one is that the rims are black and they were painted lower body color when two toned new even on the four wheel drive trucks.the non hubcap equipment is original.i am not trying to be picky, but thought i would point that out since you were going all original.that is one of the most solid rustfree examples of 64-66 trucks i have ever seen in my life and i have seen hundreds of them since way back when.

WOW!!! What happened to Tony? What did he do to get suspended? I have not been on here in a while and was following this thread up till after the 4th of July. Does anyone know if he finished this truck or what happened to him?
