Got the frame dimpled for the power steering pump and got it bolted up after modifying the radiator to frame mount as well. Sandblasted the crossmember, control arms, sway bar, steering components ect, got em painted and assembled the front disc brakes this weekend... Now I am just waiting for the rest of the parts to come in from CPP so I can assemble it all.

You gonna be able to easily reach the fuel filler with the bed on, and tailgate? Where is the pick up for it, is it a rear sump?

I am making the wood bed and the attachment strips for this truck so I was thinking about making one of the boards in the back flip up. the sump is on the far side of the tank in reference to the picture. I am going to put an electric fuel pump to get it up to the mechanical and boost reference the mechanical pump to maintain proper pressure throughout the rpm band

I missed a question... I am 6'4" tall I am not worried about reaching over the tailgate to fill with the tailgate down, otherwise they make a remote fill tube for this tank for pretty cheap that I could get to bring it out to an edge of the bed.

Here is a link that should answer your questions about 6 lug front discs using factory parts. I can also help with the rear disc brakes, if that is something that interests you. I have one 6 lug bracket set in the Vendor Marketplace, and another that I haven't officially released yet. That is in addition to the 3 5x5 rear disc brackets that are linked in my sig line below. Ran into 2 big problems today.... 1st I got my passenger side drop spindle that's machining is off by about 1/16" give or take and locks the outer brake pad solid into the rotor. I tried using a different caliper and different pads and nope, no go same problem... but McGaughy's isnt back till monday.... SEMA Show.... next is my front air ride I posted in suspension section hopefully someone can give me some pointers! I dont want to double post but the jist of it is that the bag is not at designed ride height and I dont have any easy way of getting it there. I will post some pics that is max as in tallest ride it will go even with the upper control arm bump stops shaved. I am thinking about getting the slam specialties ss5 or ss6 bags but not sure if this will solve my problem, and not sure if they will handle the weight and if they do, how stiff is the ride gonna be....

I know for a fact that the '91 'light duty' 2500 series 6 lug rotors didn't fit on my '72 1/2 ton stock spindles. The bearing offset was different, so I just bought the 6 lug kit from CPP that came with the rotors, calipers, lines and pads to get my '67 upgraded to 6 lug power discs.

Thanks for clearing that up. I had not been able to confirm that data, as I have switched to the 5x5 setup, and had only been told that it should work.

So here is an update on what has been going on with this build. Life and school has kept me stupid busy lately. I got the drop spindles figured out and turns out on the passenger side the '71 calipers didn't fit after trying 6 different calipers and a '72 caliper fit fine... it doesn't make any sense but that is how it worked out. The bag height as it was mounted wasn't right for my desired ride height, so I took the LCA's back off drilled the spot welds out of the the bumpstops, and plasma cut the centers out and welded in some 8.125" ID pipe and put a 1/4 plate across the entire bottom, blasted em up and re painted them. I took the trailing arms and torched out the bushings as they wouldnt budge in the press or with the sledge... blasted them, welded up some 1/8" plate on the top and bottom to fit with my new pan hard bar that will mount on the passenger side trailing arm, got them all painted up last night. I will be mounting them tonight and measuring up the rear to achieve my desired ride height. Oh yeah and dont mind all the dust on the frame It is building up fast as I am getting these parts fabbed up.

i have zero complaints about the weather! I am loving it! drops down to the high teens low 20's at night, and mid 40's by afternoon! No snow and clean roads! and I can do things outside still when I need to! lets hope it stays this way for a while!

Update... Tonight I got the arms installed and the rear mocked up with my old rear and cut and painted up some cups to get the ride height correct for what I want. The pics show where it will be aired out, because I dont have my hard lines yet to plumb it up and as well the programing for the touch screen automation system is not completed yet either. I could get it another couple inches lower if I take the bumpstops out but I am not looking to lay it out so I dont think its necessary. I also got the new pan hard bar that goes from the trailing arm over installed. Over all a good night!

Got all the brake line and the air line polished only took 7 hours and left my hands blacker than my frame rail. I hope going with the high polish on the brake line and the hard lines for the air ride is all worth it...
