I'm sorry - I had it in my head you were going by car (...typical American!).

There must be a bus that makes that run - or - perhaps ask one of the locals from this site to give you a ride.

Re: Visit the US in September/ October and looking for funny contacts.

What opportunity and a real flint assembly manager, would like to sit with you and hear the stories about the factory. KEITH, If I'm right you answered me a question regarding my 327 CE engine last year, right?
So sorry to say bud now more or less fully loaded regarding the schedule and would not be able to follow the proposal for the Park and Maggie valley this time.

I have a deep respect about the distances hopefully I can fulfill.
I have so much interesting things to see, the only thing what until now is not scheduled is to see a real old car junk yard. Are there any or disappeared?

I may have you covered on this one Gerhard....

Check out CTC Auto Ranch on youtube. It is in Denton Texas, only about 1.5 hours from my place. I've been wanting to go see it as well, so with you coming I now have a good reason!

Dear Lady, Gents new question:
In which state to buy a original stetson and which one. Is 10X the right one?
I like this one but no experience.

Re: Visit the US in September/ October and looking for funny contacts.

Any good western store will be able to help.
One of the largest selections I've ever seen is at Bear Creek Western Store about an hour above New Orleans in Montpelier, LA. Open 7 days a week, very knowledgeable staff and very good prices (actually better than most of the bigger "chain" stores. I've been dealing with them for 30 plus years.

If I'm not mistaken a 10x is pure beaver felt. That's what my Resistol is

We can run by Boot Town here in Fort Worth, I could use a new pair of boots and maybe a nice hat too.

That store location closed. There are several other stores available. You might enjoy going to the Ft Worth Stockyards, maybe take in a quick rodeo at Billy Bobs Texas?

Re: Visit the US in September/ October and looking for funny contacts.

.
Hey Cornerstone,

Are you attending Goodguys during that weekend with your truck?

You might consider it as it really is a unique experience to be able to drive into the show in a C10 ( or any classic ), park and cruise through the show and up on the track at the end. This would be something that GerhardH would truly not have had the opportunity to experience.

Sunday isn't the best for Classics only ( All American Sunday ), but it's still the best way to attend a car show!

Stetson website says they have an outlet store in MO & in Texas (northeast of Dallas) at

Garland, TX 75042

I've never been there, but may be worth a shot.
