Why would he get a ticket for doing over 55 in a state that doesn't have that restriction?
U-haul may say 55 (and 45 on many of there trailers) but that's there policy, not to be confused with city/state/federal law.

Sucks for your waste of time, but Actually them runnig the vins for all of them is a good thing. Speaking as someone who has had a dirtbike stolen out of a locked garage, its nice to see the cops actually checking that.

I have had a few bikes or quads stolen.

The people who steal them are not going to the dunes or riding them they way they stole them if they are. The people who steal and go to the dunes still change the frame. or put components on their wrecked quad.

The guys who leave them as is dont trailer them anywhere. They play around their house.

I hauled my 67 C10 stepside with a UHaul trailer from Mena, Arkansas to Virginia Beach, Virginia with no problems. I did use my 02 Silverado Ext. Cab. When I initially went to rent the trailer, they told me that my Silverado was not stout enough. The funny thing though was they stated it should haul a older Chevy truck because they were lighter I.E. 55-57. I could of sworn that those vintage trucks are heavier. Anyway, it fit on the trailer and the Silverado after about ten miles, I couldn't even feel the truck on the trailer behind me.

finaly got a quote, expensive basts, 150 for a dolly and 250 for a trailer, ill borrow a friends, houl my truck 600 miles, bring it back, and drive all the way back, 1800 miles, and still be cheaper and better with a nicer trailer.

Just remember to pull the driveshaft if it's an automatic.

With the bumper off it would probably be easy enought to connect the wiring for the lights too.

best place to hook up for tail lights (on our trucks) is on the firewall. I have a harness for that. Personally, when I do local tows, I just fire up the vehicle being towed. (assumung it runs) this gives the power steering for ease in neighborhoods, and also gets the pump on the tranny going.

Taken about 3 weeks ago.
It was actually MUCH cheaper to rent the trailer locally than a one way rental. Pulled perfectly behind our Tahoe but we did keep a resonable speed around 65. 1400 miles each way.
I was a little confused when I rented it. I said I was going to pull a Honda Accord but meant to say GMC truck.

Actually they do not look as good in person in my opinion. The fronts are just a little small. They did clean up really good. Here is another picture of them.
I got a set of 6 lug rally wheels with the truck and I put them on last night. It gives the truck a much more stock look. I prefer look of the slots but I need to figure out something for the front. The rears are huge and look awesome!

You'll never notice the small wheels again.

While i love rallys too, a set of real wide slots in back and normal slots up front with nice looking rubber on it will ALWAYS get my attention.

Yeah that truck looks like a beast with the slots. I put those same wheels on the Satellite I gave to my oldest boy.
