I believe the rear shocks are toasted so to keep the rear tires out of the fender I cut me 2 2x4 jacks Has that 80's take to it now

Re: "Project 72 Monte"
Larry with you being pretty much in the heart of Nascar country is there any urge to give it the stock car racer look?

Re: "Project 72 Monte"
Don't know how this one got by me Larry. But I will definitely watch. I know of a fella up in King that has two Montes. One a big block the other I'm not sure about. He's had them restored/ drivable for years. I don't know if he has any parts or if he's still got the cars. But you never know. Glad to see another cool ride saved.

Re: "Project 72 Monte"
Picked up an nos radiator support for 225 yesterday on flea bay, just to inform this is a non reproduced part and becoming very hard to come by one that is worthy of use. And also close enough to home to pick up without having to pay shipping

Re: "Project 72 Monte"
Cool that you won't have to pay shipping on such a big item.

Re: "Project 72 Monte"
I went out to check on what I remember to be a really nice 72 grill. Hum, the grill headlight bezels and several other parts are MIA.
They had the nice front bumper halfway off, but it's hanging there. I guess I need to step up security.

Re: "Project 72 Monte"
Hello Larry, I did not realize you were on here too! This is David from Charlotte. I posted to you on the Monte Carlo forum. I had a 70 Monte for 10 years then stupidly sold it. Would love to have another one; BUT I have Squarebodyism. I own 4 right now ..... 90 Suburban, 85 C20, 85 SWB and found a 74 C20 with a factory 454 a few weeks ago. The 74 might be more of a parts truck, because of rust... I will be watching this thread, I love what your doing. David
