Not sure if it's the same as a 68. It's hard to tell by the pic but my interior is a darker metallic color.

Re: Project Blue Goose

Man, Sweet truck, I just put my 69 GMC short fleet in the paint shop this morning.
The original color was 507 light Blue. The PO painted it 503 light green and it looks ok, but a cheap enamel paint job. I decided (with some light urging from Lolife99) to put back to the original color. and You just gave me the crossover Basecoat/clearcoat Deltron number...."DBU-15004", Thanks a lot.

I cant wait to see more updates of your truck!!

Dale

Check out my build.. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=388447

Re: Project Blue Goose

No real progress has happened to the truck. I did purchased alot of parts. My life has been very busy since I started this project. I changed jobs, started night school, got married, and just purchased my first house last June so thats where all of my money and time is being spent. I've been thinking about just putting the truck back together.

Re: Project Blue Goose

Congrats on getting married!! Let the truck sit till you get caught up on life! Its only increasing in value!! At least that what I tell myself about all my stagnant projects!

Dude that is a killer color. Gotta love the colors that GM had back then. Can't wait to see it done!

Re: Project Blue Goose

Hey thanks for the congrats on my wedding. I never thought it would happen It has put a set back on the truck, my hair is falling out and I've put on 20 lbs. but I think it will be a wise decision in the long run.

Re: Project Blue Goose

Here is what I have been working on. This is what the my house looked like in March. It was unoccupied for 10 years. I purchased the house in June but I started working on the house in March. We moved in in July.

It was still pretty much fully furnished with appliances, clothes, furniture etc that I had to throw away. The roof was leaking and the ceiling fell down in the living room and the hard wood floor was ruined in the living room. The back yard was like a jungle.

Re: Project Blue Goose

The yard is bigger than my last place. As for the garage in the house, it had a 4in. terracotta wall that separated the garage from the basement that I took down. The old dimensions of the inside of the garage was 9 1/2 ft wide by 19 ft long. I am going to build a new wall to separate the two and my garage will be 11-12 ft wide in locations by 24 ft long.

All of the other pics of garages are of my buddy's place, my uncle's place or my previous job (which is where I was doing all of the painting)

Re: Project Blue Goose

This is what the truck looks like right now but it is on the other side of the garage

The bed is completely finished but I do have a NOS tailgate to replace the repo one someday

My plans for the spring is to pull the cab off and put the rolling frame in my garage and start working on it.

Re: Project Blue Goose

I have the technology to put the trim on, but I also have the respect of my truck not to do it.

This truck is so nice that other than adding factory options the only thing that I am going to alter is the suspension.

Re: Project Blue Goose

I am going to run steel wheels and dog dish caps. I have four 8" wide rims and four 6" wide rims so I am going to paint a set black and a set white. I have painted caps and stainless ones http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=301160

I have new chrome bumpers and shiny grill pieces but I am leaning on going with painted bumpers and grill pieces.
