Re: A real BadSeed

I'm using tools I've never used and doing things I've never done before on this truck. I try to learn something everyday, but when I'm in the garage I learn the most.

love the defrost vents and smooth cowl.

Would you consider making some of the defrost vents to sell?

Thanks! I wish I had time to do anything. I barely have time to work on my truck. I couldn't do it anytime soon

We ordered a ford 9 inch for the truck. Wheel face to wheel face was 54 inches. They reason I asked about what size is there was another build with the same wheels and he was selling his. I'll see if I can find the link. Pretty sure he was 22/22

Re: A real BadSeed

Here's a little trick I found. I got some solid round bar that was a little smaller diameter than the frame holes I plan to fill. I cut plugs on my bandsaw. Magnet on the back till it's tacked, then remove the magnet and burn it in

Nice! when I plugged a bunch of holes I just put a copper backer on the back side and plug welded the holes

I was just disappointed in the fact there really isn't any lip. I feel the back spacing is correct but since its a concave wheel they automatically have less lip. Raceline doesn't make that when in a non concave. If I could do it again I would do no concave in the front and concave in the back.

Re: A real BadSeed

I cut out the inner boxing plates and installed the ones at the notch first. And blended out the frame rails.

I love the amount of fab work going into this truck. Great looking build so far.

Re: A real BadSeed

Frame notch (top) welded in. I opened up the inside of the notch so I can run my hoses and wires through the frame to the fuel cell, air management system, and body electrical

Re: A real BadSeed

I scored some original C10 wheels to use for rollin purposes until I can purchase the 22" wheels im gonna run. I got enough done on the notch to drop it down and introduce the frame to the ground for the first time flat frame rails.

Re: A real BadSeed

I never buy stuff on Craigslist or anywhere else. But, in 1 week, I found wheels on Craigslist, and these 2 OEM 67 grilles on OfferUp. Both were great deals too. Gonna have to look more often

I was born in Chula Vista and Castle Park High class of '77. As we would say back then "Radical Man" and your build is awesome! I'm staying tuned...
