Thanks, it seems to gather lots of interest locally, Lots of "truck guys" around here, most of them older guys who all say the same thing..."You just don't see those around here anymore".

I was hoping to use it some, and fix it up as I go, and as the $$$ flow goes.
Still want a shortbed 4x4 one day, but for now I will focus on the K20.

Good luck on your project, looks like your off to a great start

The parts get here in one day from NJ. Thanks! Hopefully I will be able to tackle the driver side this week.

RM Lill out of Castleton blasts but I recently found out they do not do sheet metal. I am not sure who does sheet metal in our area. Let me know if you find someone. I may end up doing the bottom of the floor myself and sand the rest. I am also looking into getting an adapter for my pot to run baking soda.

Re: 1970 swb K10 Resurrection (AKA "The Chum Bucket") "Photos"

I picked up a set of ’68 corvette buckets for the truck. I will need to build a frame like the original truck buckets to mount these. Does anyone have detailed photos and dimensions of a truck buddy bucket seat frame?

Re: 1970 swb K10 Resurrection (AKA "The Chum Bucket") "Photos"

are you going to do a frame or separate mounting brackets? I would mount them seperate like 69/72 buckets and add a console with cup holders..

I was actually thinking about using a frame and the buddy bucket center seat style consol. I like the option of the third seat and how they give a little more room for the shifter clearance. I picked up these seats for the center consol. Who knows in the end I may just run the original style seats.

Finally I find some fellow New Yorkers! Project looks great and nice find on your frame. I just started my build this year and currently have two k10s, one for my core foundation, one for parts. Like a typical NY project I am looking for some frame components, anyone have suggestions?

Its been about 9 months since I did much on this project. Once spring hits I get distracted by the muscle cars. The cab metal work is about done and is ready to be media blasted. Tore the front axle down to convert over to disc brakes too. Also have a fresh 350 short block ready to go.

Hung the sheetmetal again after priming all the jams. Now it's time to do the filler and blocking work on the side metal. Here are a couple more shots.

Took a break on the body work and trying to get the truck running so it doesn't have to be pushed everywhere. Pulled the wiring harnesses out of the GMC K15 donor truck cleaned them up and installed them back in the K10.
Here is a video testing the dash accessories and turning over the engine for the first time.

Re: 1970 swb K10 Resurrection (AKA "The Chum Bucket") "Photos"

Rebuilt the steering column and installed it. Starter is in and rebuilt the distributor with a points eliminator. New battery tray, speedometer cable, alternator, master cylinder and power booster too. Pulled the seat out of the GMC K15 and temporally installed it in the K10. If it weren't for having a complete donor truck i would have a heck of a time locating all the odds and ends.

Here are a bunch more photos:

Are these the wheels you are talking about? http://s1030.photobucket.com/albums/...t=38bd228e.jpg

They are 16.5x6 on 6 lug. I have never seen another set and I got the set of 5 with the '67 chassis i am using. Not sure where to find a set of originals but Stockton wheel works out of California makes new ones. They are the Heavy Duty Truck - 20 Series at this link: http://www.stocktonwheel.com/4wd_offroad.php
