I'll look into them of course, and I'm not ready for that kind of aesthetic improvement, but do you remember how much by any chance? I think that plaid was the original upholstery in my truck or VERY close to it.

Great stuff!

EDIT: Do you know if they are still in business? Not showing up with a google...

Truckseats is a board member, not sure if that business is taking current orders at this time.

Re: Post your green truck!

My Dad's 1970 CST/10 with original paint. Not sure what color it is, but this is the truck that started the madness for me. My Dad has owned this truck since 1974, and this pic was taken last month.

Re: Post your green truck!

That was a very popular color for most of GM's cars and trucks from 69 to 72.

Yep, thanks! I did a 30 second exposure in a dark garage and use a flash light to highlight parts of the truck to appear in the photo. 'Light painting'. I've used the technique for other cars and even for some landscape photography at night. Fun with cameras.

My 1969 olive green C20 parked in front of Molly's Reach on the Sunshine Coast of B.C. Molly's Reach was part of a popular Canadian show that first aired in 1969 called The Beachcombers. I though it was fitting to snap a picture of my truck while I was visiting as it is the correct era for the show.

Re: Post your green truck!

How in the world did I miss this thread until now?!?

I just "finished" my 23 year project. Over the 4th of July week I slung the "new" bed in place.

One piece at a time.
And it didn't cost me a dime...

529 Med. Blue-green poly.
I got it as a mutt. I further muttified it with a new engine, transmission, transfer case, and different (straighter) bed. It was a solid color 1970 built 529 cab and bed on a 1971 K10 chassis that some cowboy in the state of Wyoming cobbled together in the 80s. I painted the cab roof white. I procured a paintable front bumper off the '72 Blazer that donated the tranny and transfer case. The rear paintable bumper came from too much stuff when my 16 year old was around 4. da-burb sold me the pretty darn straight tailgate out of his stash about 15 years ago. The build sheet tells me the cowboy that assembled it before I got it used 1968 golden anniversary interior. That is all I can think of off the top of my head.

Re: Post your green truck!

Got the paint today! This might be valuable information for someone; turns out DuPont/Nason paints still translate and carry the same color codes from 1967-1972. I got the 504 yellow green and 521 white. Looks identical to the original, although my mix guy said he added a little extra brilliance (whatever that means). Also, does anybody have experience with the clear coat below?
