Your project is coming along very nice. You are going to be very happy with the serpentine system. Great job...

Thanx for posting your trials and tribulations with this install. I'm hoping to dive into this this winter. Just need to find a decent BBC. Looking really nice.

Re: Big Block Build is what I'm calling mine. New pics inside
I have don't nothing. I am waiting to paint the firewall but really don't want to do it in my garage. I could get busted and fined. I don't have a trailer to get it to my shop space and now I don't have a truck to tow it with. I need to get the 66 going so I can tow it up there and spray it.

When I sprayed the high build primer. My neighbor asked me if I was doing some thing with epoxy. I just looked at him and said "yes"..

Re: Big Block Build is what I'm calling mine. New pics inside
Thanks for the offer.. I do have a truck lined up and can just rent a trailer from U Haul. I am just not finding any time to git er done. I am right now trying to get the house in order for my kids b day party. Doing some much needed painting and stuff. After that I can deal with the truck. I am hoping by the end of this month I can bring it up to spray it. His party is Oct 2nd.

Re: Big Block Build is what I'm calling mine. New pics inside
I'm installing a big block in my 66 and I have a few questions.
I see that your using tubular engine perchs are they from Brothers if so what motor mounts did you use? I went to Napa to pick up some but the ones that would fit look a little lite duty. Hows the truck coming along. Thanks |

Re: Big Block Build is what I'm calling mine. New pics inside
All I have done was set the engine in so I can wire it up. After I am done I am going to try and get the truck up to the shop so I can paint the firewall and put it back together. My 8 yo wants to go for a ride in the truck again. I
I got my mounts from www.truckandcarshop.com . They seem pretty beefy but then again I am not building a high performance truck. Just a crusier.

Re: Big Block Build is what I'm calling mine. New pics inside
I have been mocking up things since I can't paint the firewall yet. I need to run some wires and brake lines, oh and don't forget the fuel line. Here is a preview.

Re: Big Block Build is what I'm calling mine. New pics inside
looks great, but I'd paint the firewall... (JUST KIDDING!) What costs more, the U-Haul trailer or the EPA ticket for painting in your garage?

Re: Big Block Build is what I'm calling mine. New pics inside
getting caught would be worse. My garage is a mess and I would probably be slapped with cleaning it out.
