Dear lord I love the swap but how do you get in there to work on anything other than just buy a new powertrain

Re: 72 suburban with a duramax (the build)
I met you back in August at TruckFest in Denver (I was in the little blue Saturn you blew past on I-25 ) never thought about finding you on the board I must say your Burb is pretty freakin' sweet. Without a doubt the best Dmax swap I've seen done on a classic chevy.

Re: 72 suburban with a duramax (the build)
Wow!! That thing makes a Cummins swap look like an afternoon project by comparison. Very clean man.

Re: 72 suburban with a duramax (the build)
well here are the results from the dyno. suburban has idaho robs tunes and dsp5 switch. first pull was on low setting it went 735hp and 1120torq second pull was 821hp & 1314torq. rob was running it and aborted third pull on high setting he was worried about hurting the motor thought it was going to over rev but still made 851hp and 1350torq. then the fun was over and off to home made it back home today. Milage was 17.1 - 19.4. I Have the old Dmax and trans here if someone is looking! Have stand alone harness and all!

Re: 72 suburban with a duramax (the build)
I met you on powertour this past summer, in Muskegon.
Your burb and your buddy's orange whippled burb were my motivation to find a blazer and get cracking on it for an awesome family cruiser. http://www.67-72chevytrucks.com/vboa...d.php?t=529064
