Seem like some pretty cool jobs...Retirement is a beautiful thing!!!...lol. With the direction things are headed, I'm looking forward to the day I retire. I'm halfway there, been in 9 years.

Re: 65 C10 SWFS BBW "Clyde" @Poypeyes Rod Shop

I know its not much, but I got the chassis back over to my garage so I can pull the motor and trans back out. Snapped a few crappy Iphone pics. In search of a decent body shop in Louisiana now, seems everyone is either too busy or doesn't want to mess with anything classic.

On the way home...had to stop and grab some chow...got tons of looks with just the chassis.

The rear setup

Not a big update, but I did make a few changes to the rendering. I'll be running the Raceline Scoundrels with the knockoffs. Also updated the badges, the truck will be titled as a 66 now due to the new Big Back Window cab I picked up.

What body shop did you end up using? Did they give you an estimated time to complete it? Keep us posted on the process. Love the big back window.

Ah... Lee's Hamburger. Think we need to make another brother, but take Clyde when it gets buttoned up.

I ended up going with Extreme Liners and Customs in Gonzales, LA. We did a written contract with an agreed upon timeline and budget. They are going to finish everything on the truck and give it back to me turn key. As soon as I have some updates I will post em up.

Re: 65 C10 SWFS BBW "Clyde" @Poypeyes Rod Shop

Finally got some updates for you fellas!!

Decided to go with a 383 from Blueprint...she's putting down 450hp and 456 ft lb of torque...should be fun

Some goodies came in from Flex A Lite

Some ceramic coated block huggers from Sanderson Headers...these things are some of the best quality I've ever seen.

Bodywork has finally begun on the cab....damn rust repair!!!

The roof had a nice crease in it and kept tin canning...it has been a PITA

The sheet metal floor is underway as well

Re: 65 C10 SWFS BBW "Clyde" @Poypeyes Rod Shop

Few more updates for you guys

Got the cab fitted on the frame and the old motor yanked as well as cut the factory passenger side of the firewall out to make way for a much smoother piece of metal

Another shot.....BTW...the 87 belongs to one of our prospects Jeff Brignac, whom is also doing all the bodywork on my truck.

Some bodywork that not many people will notice.....from factory GM just used spot welds and seam sealer right here.....not at all as pretty as this should be when done.

Some more parts....Vintage Air Front Runner....oh and my daughters Thor toy!!!

Cool little access panel we made to get to the accuair....the hinges were a bit tricky
